Motor mount Q's

it is a 17mm you need for the rear also.

front would take about 15 mins
side about 10 mins
rear took me about 30 mins with a 19" breaker bar, 2' pipe,pb blaster, 17mm deep and short socket, 20" extension bar

you forgot the 10mm socket for the wiring harness bracket ont he firewall for hte rear mmm. Also some people find it easier to rmove the throttle body to get to everything. Not really need but some preer it.

oh yeh. well with that, last time i swapped the motor, I grinded out the lower threaded stud, figured I would be getting eventually a better rear mm than the awr so i took it out then.

all I removed as far as parts go to get to the rear mm was the cold pipe from my fmic kit, I was gonna remove the egr valve for more clearance but was able to get it all from behind the motor.

that one nut is a pain in the ass to get to thats next to the bottom bolt on the firewall bracket.

hell yeh it is. i think to get it done the first time I, used a 1/2" drive rachet, 10mm, and like 2 6" extension bars removed the IC piping, and battery tray.

I changed out my front and side MM today with the Medieval mounts. I had ripped both stock (yes I drive my car hard). Other than a more noticeable vibration, it is alot better. Handles better, turns better, shifts better. I'm going to do the transmission mount and rear mount soon. I hear that the new ones will "seat" in a few days and the vibrations should get better.

Which way should the front stock mount be positioned?
Should the internal rubber part appear to be higher towards the engine? And low should the stock allow the engine sit?

I'm running AWR 70 duro front and rear with 70 inserts on the sides.

Vibes are def. there at idle with the A/C on, but other than that, it's fine! I love having the stiffer mounts. Much more "Solid" feeling, in addition to the TWM shifter bushing as well.

Last on the list is the AWR Trans mount

Is it a combo? I havn't really looked into it much.

Sorry to sound stoopid

So, in your link that is the passengerside mount and transmission mount in one? Hmmm......i think i know waht i'm ordering

No more inserts FTW!

long piece of pipe on normal ratchet = poor mans breaker bar...hey who's got a ball point pen, some duct tape and a spring and i'll make a bomb

Many times you will shell out the ratchet and then buy a breaker bar AND a new ratchet. Ask Me How I KNow....

I have broken more than one ratchet doing this...if you do enough work on your car a 1/2 inch breaker bar becomes a good invesment, air tools not as useful ;)

Not here. I remove the heads off bolts that way. lol

I spend a week with a can of PB blaster before i attempt to break any bolts free anymore

no, its the passenger side one. until recently AWR only had a front, rear and transmission mount. so now you can get both sides at the same time. woot

word. i was all excited when i got my air tools. the only thing i really use them now for is to take the lugnuts off.

so people swear by them. others, me included, cant get past that some people had issues with them breaking. that issue has since been fixed, but i'll still go with AWR

breaker bars a def good buy for working i have a 30" 1/2 drive bar.....almost worth it's weight in gold in getting bolts loose, well that and my air tools. love having an impact wrench and air ratchet. makes things easy.
