i just traded in my 05 6 for an 08 speed3 gt and i love it. best decision ever and to think i almost got a gti...what was i thinking(rofl)...this is also my first manual and first turbo car, its amazing!

yes learn that clutch because you dont want to be in my shoes buying a new clutch cuz someone burned it out for you. But it can take alot by the way but if you think you are going to burn it out then do it before 12000 miles and the 1st year.(wrc)

Nice! Gratz on your purchase!! Post pics of it when you can! Do you have plans to mod or just leave it as is?

yeah ive been taking it as easy as i can coming out of first trying to let it roll out, im working on it though. i just bought it friday and im already at 220 miles (shocked)

as far as modding, most likely not for a year. dad really doesnt like my addiction lol. for now just ordering a dashhawk to use as a "boost gauge" but later on im hoping for

twm shifter bushings
forge bpv
motor mount
wheels
yellow fogs
tinted tails
cobb springs and sway bars
intake
boost and af gauges
ets top mount
ecu upgrade
dp possibly rp

basically in that order but thats far in the future and when i have money lol for now ill enjoy her stock

nice!

I'd recommend the rear motormount upgrade along with an intake system if you can afford them at the same time, oh and shifter bushings too. =p

by the way, miles rack up real quick... hahaha

you can try driving backwards... =D

yeah ive read alot about how much crisper the shifts become, i didnt notice it at first but im noticing it a little more.

i have to go drop off my old title at mazda tomorrow and im having my sales guy talk to their mechanics about what this place lets slide, hopefully theres a good deal of sliding going on ;)

hopefully that sliding doesn't include the sliding of half ass maintenance from the shops there!! lol

I wish my dealer would let things slide... They like went ape s*** because I took their pin stripe off to put on the mazdaspeed stripes.

&Congratz! You will love the car! I test drove a GTI and have a buddy that has one, this car is so much better :D

Congrats. I have a similar list of mods that I want to perform, but the cash flow isn't quite there like I want it to be yet. The first thing I will do is throw on a TRZ Dog Bone with street bushings though, can't wait. I also notice after switching my oil to Pennzoil Platinum over the weekend the shifting seems a little smoother, and some zip came back.

This car is addicting alright...

no leeway for me :( but that wont stop me for long. im ordering a dashhawk this weekend. i wanna order the su motor mount and twm bushings but i dont think dads gonna go for it.

does anybody notice that when switching gears its not like hmm how to describe this clean and smoothe? its sorta rough cant describe it, not sure if its something im doing or not

I smell what your steppin' in. I am hoping (and guessing) that a motor mount will fix this problem. I will find out Friday when I get my Corksport MM. WOO
