Just like the title asks, should I go with Cobb, or CP-E?

These are new companies to me, so I really just want to know what people think about the two.

Is the it worth paying $25.00 more and waiting for the Nano?

I've heard that the availability of the Cobb is limited, is it hard to find?

Cosmetic differences between the two are of no interest, they both look nice to me.

The CP-E Nano isn't even out yet, so no one has one to review. And the COBB is on nationwide backorder until at least December. So yeah, that's that.

Damn! Cobb back ordered until December?!! Are the chances of waiting and getting a Nano before the Cobb very high?

Who knows at this point. So many vendors have come and gone with unfulfilled promises of having stuff by a certain date.

Yea and my HKS Suction Reloaded Ball-Cock Racing Intake was supposed to ship on October 17th. That sure as hell didn't happen.

Does the HKS have an air straightener in it? If it still hasn't shipped, you should just cancel that hog and order up a Nano...

I was under the impression it did. How would I find out and what would be the drawbacks of no air straightener?

I certainly don't feel like spending $275+ on an HKS Short intake.

I guess I'll be waiting for awhile regardless of which one I choose.

Even if you spent the money on the HKS, you'd be waiting just like me. I ordered mine almost a month ago and have not received as much as a shipping estimate. They made sure to charge me for it immediately though :(

Well direct link incase you cant find it on with the tons and tons of goodies they have for our car. http://www.dabears2k.com/product_info.php?cPath=39&products_id=217

Out of fairness, you can also pre-order with free shipping at S t r e e t U n i t 's site. On the other hand, Dabears apparently still has the option to buy it on E-Bay using Live Search and pay with PayPal to get 20-30% of the total cost back after 60 days through your PayPal account: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CP-e...m14QQhashZitem190259341865QQitemZ190259341865

Make sure you use Live Search and pay with PayPal or you don't get the cash back.

I guess you could just ask the vendor or HKS USA. The stock airbox has a straightener and so do the Cobb and CP-E intakes. Without the straightener, the MAF can get incorrect/inconsistent readings. This has caused lean condition CEL's with the original Mazdaspeed intake (no straightener) which led it to be taken off the market.

I PM'd Ken about this. I think he's sick of me bothering him at this point.

Alright, what do you guys think my best bet is, buy the Cobb and wait months for it to ship, or, wait and buy the Nano in the hopes it will come sooner?

I frankly don't care about the cost or brand difference between the two, I just want to get one soon or by the end of the year!

Id say just be still like the rest of us and wait for some results for the nano, if it realy does add 14hp thats the same as the cobb and F*** waiting on that thing, I've been waiting too long, if the nano lives up to the results I'm buying one
