Just got an 08.5 CWP MS3 GT!!

A couple weeks ago, I found a great deal not too far from home for a slightly used (600 miles) crystal white Mazdaspeed3 GT. The price was 20.7k before TTL. That's a significant amount less than the ~25k MSRP. Not to mention most dealers are reluctant to meet invoice (which for a GT is still like 23k.) Seeing as how most of these cars go in and out of dealerships quickly, we decided to pounce on the deal. And lo and behold...

No plans for modifying it. I have a warranty that I'd like to keep for as long as possible.

talk with the service manager at the dealership.

Mine was cool with anything that was going to help the car run better. i let him know i would give him the literature on the mods i was planning on getting before installing. so he had the ability to read up on the product i wanted to make sure its fine for the car

Such as FMIC, intake, catback, motor mounts and inserts wont void

AP, boost controllers, downpipes and of course turbo back exhaust in general is a no no

BUT

a mid/race/testpipe wont hurt. make sure you dont do any cut outs in the exhaust. that way you can put the cats back in before going to the dealer

I honestly don't think I'll do ANY modding. Maybe a rear engine motor mount down the road. Or maybe a Mazdaspeed CAI if it's better than the current discontinued product, lol. But for now, stock is perfect.

FYI, mazda has voided warranties for that CAI even though it's a mazdaspeed product.

seems like you hit the jackpot in dealers....most would void for any and all of the above

yeah i did. the service manager is really cool. the head tech is a supra nut head. he has two bad ass supras that he bring to the dealers and fixes on when he's not busy.

he's even pointing me to his buddy who makes bad ass custom exhuast

i really did hit the jackpot

Actually, they did. First thing I did when I got it home was unscrew the dealer plate and bracket. lol

I would of ask'd them if the 2nd mustache without the holes comes with the car.

Lots of states require front plates. Cali, NJ, Rhode Island, Ohio, etc..

True. We also don't have that pesky state inspection or emissions testing either. Probably why there are so many cars literally falling apart on our roads.
