Current Engine bay pics everyone

Yes the cover with MS on it. It's not an official Mazdaspeed product. I too buy eBay parts all the time. My reference was to that you find fake MS stuff there.

not feeling it at alll atl.. it feels like your trying to go for a ghetto blingage factor here but... maybe thats just me

What are ya talkin' bout? Altspace looks to me like he/she is going for the JDM appeal. As you know, a lot of JDM is ghetto-fabou mixed with top-notch.

twas thinking the same...what are they exactly?

He explained it another thread, (can't remember what thread lol) but the gold stuff is like a heat reflective tape so it does serve some sort of purpose. I think it looks pretty good!

edit: If you look at the picture again, you can see towards the firewall where he wrapped the A/C line in the same stuff.

Correct, it's HRP heat reflective film and does serve a purpose. I got the idea from the Speedsource and Roar Racing RX-8s. I also enter a lot of auto shows so there is that bit of the "bling" factor which they all seem to love and gets me trophies. ;) Just trying to be different.

The oil filter is in the same place of which you can not see. I believe you are looking at my Mazdaspeed oil cap.

I need a hydroshield on my car badly, every time it rains somewhat hard I get fuel cuts due to water inside the piping.

that doesn't sound right, that sounds like your fuel cuttin cause its cold outside...not due to the water

nice job again... Jeg....

make sure you coat that stuff with that hi-temp silicon paint to keep the moisture out...

i don't know how moisture can be a problem though since the header reaches and excess of 1000F and would instantly evap any condensation or water in the wrap...

i guess it would be a problem if the car was not driven for a while

paint? wouldn't that make a mess? I park the car in a garage at night so anytime its out in the humidity here is when im driving it, it should stay dry... If not I'll just remove the wrap, the metal tie-wraps from Home Depot cost me more than the wrap did... lol.

In a sense, yes. I have many JDM parts, and I bought them not just because of "JDM", but I really do love the style and quality. WORK wheels, Beatrush, RAYS, etc.
