Would I have any trouble if I use regular or mid grade gas?

The MSP is not that powerful. I don't see how it needs premium gas?

And what is the engine called in the msp?
For example, the Skyline GTR engine is called the RB26.

What kind of swaps are there?

Yes, you need premium. If you run anything else you'll want to stay out of boost.

the engine code is FSDE

yes you need to run premium in all turbod cars and its an FS engine code. kzle i beleive. its a v6

just to clarify

our engine code is FS-DET

when he says klze here he means that is a possible swap

YES you have to run premium, they don't put the warning on the inside of your gas cap cover for no reason lol....you run less and boost, you are just asking to hit predetonation and snap your rods.....just a warning, be careful with this car, she will treat you right if you treat her right

also if u use lower octane like 84 or whatever u could not only snap your rods but u could also melt your pistons and/or your valves

which is going to be costly to replace... so i would just go ahead and fill it up like your supposed to

yea i kno i told him the same thing lol
i tried lookin for it, but then i realized i could just copy the link location haha

it is pretty funny, and it never gets old suprisingly

you will actually get better gas mileage with premium gas, in my 00 z28 it was cheeper to get the highest grade gas because i would get more miles with it and it ended up saving me a few dollars per fill up.

i dont really see the difference in price anymore cause gas prices fluctuate so frequently an extra .20 per gallon is nothing anymore.

nah thats cheap

race gas is like 114 I believe

race gas you find at gas stations is usually 110

I picked up a tank of 110 from my gas station at 6.99 a gallon.....buttonwillow raceway was charging over 10 bucks a gallon last year at mazfest if I recall right lol

So would a higher Octane over what is normally at he pumps be better? I don't need a special tune for that gas? Will performance go up? Will I increase the chances of zoom-zoom-boom?

lets just say use 93 because we said so. car runs so much better and the risk of blowing the engine is reduced. that right there is worth the 20 cents extra which adds up to like only 2.50 more

Race gas runs at cooler temps and has other anti-knock properties which allow you to safely turn up the boost without detonation (with supporting mods). I'm pretty sure you would have to tune at that point. But in our case with a boosted protege (stock block) the rods will break with too much boost no matter how how high of an octane you are running. But at stock boost or close to it 91 - 93 octane should do just fine.

woohoo here in Canada I can get 94 octane at my favorite gas station, for the price of 91 anywhere else. It's only available at one gas station in town though - and dont ask me why it is the same price as 91 anywhere else
