Dyno Day Cobb AP Stage2_FMIC_CA_91Oct_v103L Results

Just got back from my Dyno Day. It was a great event with a bunch of my Mazda buddies. We had MS3's, MSProts, MZ3's, Miata's all doing dyno's. Most of the cars were MS3's with different ranges of mods from Stock to Full Bolt-ons.

At the end of the day I put down more power than anyone (Other than the owners Turbo S2000 who put down 371WHP but he don't count). I'm very pleased with the 103 Maps. I knew my car never pulled this hard before and the results speak for themselves.



The next best pull was a fully bolted (Vice Mani/Upgraded Turbo) MS3 pushing 18PSI with an MBC/BCD and he put down 275WHP / 310TQ.

My Mods; MS CAI (In SRi Mode), ATP FMIC, HKS BPV, TurboXS Test Pipe, Cobb AP.

Nice. I'm considering getting the AP now that v103 seems to be getting somewhere. Are you a beta tester or is the 103 available to everyone? My setup is Cobb Sri, Forge BPV and TurboXS TP. Did anyone test with simular mods as mine?

So wait you and this other MS3 both had full bolt ons EXCEPT he had a manifold and upgraded turbo at 18spi and you had an AP with a stage 2 map. How did he only put down 275 and you made more than him? I heard the cobb flashes were ok, but you have 25 wheel horse on him when he has a new turbo and mani????

LOL Paul, I get too lazy to post mods all the time so I just say stage 2. I think technically with a mani is stage 2+(smash)

Not until the Pro Tune software is released which should be sometime next year.

Would a new DP push you over the 300 mark, or when the Pro Tune software becomes available can you break 300 by upping the boost a little ? Not trying to threadjack, but I am very interested in the best way (also semi quiet) to get to the 300 mark ?

Do dp/rp and then add a vibrant quiet resonator or two. I'm thinking about it

I believe if I had a DP I could break 300WHP possibly. My boost spikes 20 dropping to 19's and holding 19 through 6k RPM. I'm just short 15WHP and a DP should get me there.

Bravnik, do you think you're close to maxing out the stock fuel pump? Any issues with boost or fuel cut on the street with this map/mod combo yet?

No issues at all with FP. No boost cut, sputter or anything at all. Car runs very smooth and at idle I can't even tell it's running sometimes.
