warning light question, help needed

hey everyone, i'd really appreciate some help on this.

i'm looking at buying a 2005 mazda 3 sedan but on the dash there's the yellow engine warning light on and the red airbag light on.

the dealer said it was from water and they'll fix it before i buy it, but i'd like to at least know what it COULD be. and if those lights could be on from some kind or water damage or something...

it really depends on what the code is. It could be many things. If there is some kind of water damage in that car i would look else where for a car.

yeah not like hardcore water damage from flooding, was apparently from cleaning.

where can i find the 'code'? (i assume there's an actually error code you can get from the car to reference?)

most dealerships will give you a full carfax report if you ask for one.

Any water s*** report I'll walk away..... Its not worth the hassle to worry everyday on the car you are driving that has initial issues on it, even they had fixed it.

Any car on a dealer lot with a CEL or any other issue, is an indication of how well the dealer takes car of their cars and what kind of quality cars they sell...

If I were selling a car, it would be perfect...no CELs, no warning lights, etc...

GO TO ANOTHER DEALER!!!!!!
