09 mazdaspeed 3
so i haven't gone a looked at the 09 speeds yet, and today i decided...id go an compare the two which i have been going back and forth on speed3 or new sti. the new speeds interior is just sooooo much nicer! wow. and i actually found myself wanting to just see more of the speed. im sold on it. although the sales man that ran up to my car before i even was finished parking was VERY ANNOYING! and oddly enough i found he really didn't know ANYTHING about the car. or the difference between the GT or the sport models. then proceeded to hound me into trading my 3 in for the speed saying ( we"ll give you top dollar on trade ) an then leaves an ask's me to wait an brings his manager over to start hounding me. anybody else with this problem yet? i hate salesmen...but, you have to deal with them. by DEC i plan on doing the buy...so its down to color. hmmmm...

All salesmen are like that. They stand at the entrance, atop of the stairs in their group of 4-5. Its 10am on a saturday, and they're saying, "this ones mine" and before you know it, as your getting out of your car, "Sir, may I help you" They are like vultures indeed waiting to pounce.

May I recommend Crystal Pearl White as for the color.

yup...they are all shade balls. im on white or black. seriously only saw black today tho. thats all the dealers had, id love white. my local dealer only has metro gray. thus why i drove to BFE to check other dealers. an the guy goes onto say finding a white one is like finding gold, the whites a VERY VERY limited color.

You would think that over the years the tactics would change for the better. As long as I have been buying cars it never seems to change, except to become more offensive to my sensibilities.

This "game" needs to change badly, but never does.....

I wouldn't say all salesmen are like that, now the vast majority are! The dealership that I deal with are pretty laid back and sales more cars then the biggest new car dealership here in jacksonville. I know pretty sad.

I'm sure they are hungry right now with car sales being in the dumper. I saw the local Mazda dealer in town marking speeds down. That's a first for this area.

Pushy salesmen turn me off to buying cars. I'll ask for someone else. Usually, after that occurs....they back up off me.

A speed3 does not need to be sold. An STI does not need to be sold and so on.... Just tell them to go away. I mean sheriously go the eff away.

I went through 3 dealers. The third dealer was awesome. The guy really knew his s***.

The first place I was asked the 3 things I'm looking for in a car I go I'm looking for a speed3. The second dealer were such a-holes they missed out. I had the car I wanted picked out. Sorry suckers.

Call the dealer (if there is anogher dealer within a reasonable distance, you might try one where you have no history). Ask for the "internet sales department". In my experience, these guys are much more professional; they usually run the fleet department too and business customers don't put up with that sheet.

Yeah a buddy of mine is the sales manager in clarksville. Hes cool as hell, I always go and test drive new cars. When I go other salesman dont even bother saying hi anymore. Its kinda cool.

I brokered my entire deal over the net and phone. Even talked them down a bit, which wouldn't have happened with a walk in.

I actually like to tease the salesmen. I show up in my wife's crappy car, and look impressed and slightly anaesthetized, and tell them I want a "cool" car. They tour me around, and then bring me inside. Somewhere around then I say, "oh, I don't have a job..."

Funny, I had the exact opposite problem at Irvine Mazda (probably why they went under) - salesmen wouldn't even approach me, not even a "Hi, if you have any questions or w/e, I'll be over there if you need me."

I suppose it beats the time I almost called the cops on Power Honda - I was dumb enough to give them my keys so they could appraise it (I admit it, I was a fool) when I went to test drive an Civic Si. I'd told them I was only coming in to test drive it and see what I thought about it. They sat me down and started in on the "What do we need to do to get you to drive home tonight in a Civic Si?" They didn't laugh when I said, "Give it to me for free, I said I wasn't here to buy tonight." Went back and forth with them showing me monthly payments and even dragging out the sales manager, ignoring my "Give me my keys, I'm done here."

Finally, I pulled out my phone and just said - "Either give me my keys or I call the cops and you can explain to them why I can't have my keys back."

My truck was promptly pulled back up and keys were in my hand in like 30 seconds.

Never going to another Power Dealership EVER again.

sales man are pain in the ass.... and most of the time they dont know s*** about car....however after long search and going to different dealership i was lucky .....salesman that sold me car was nice guy, and know what he was selling....

I knew the salesman that sold me my Speed3. He sold us my wife's CX7 a year before. :)

nice! i plan on sticking to my normal mazda dealer, they are really cool there. just no good about them not having a white GT. they do have a white sport though. BTW hows the navi in the speed? decent? good? bad?

The navi is kinda meh. But it works and the integration is nice. I sure wish there was an updated data base though.
