Well guys, i seemed to have underestimated Hurricane Ike and did something really stupid. I live a block from the water in Shoreacres and evacuated like everyone was told, but left one thing....

My yellow beauty ...I have her comfortably placed in my garage back home. But as i watch the news from my sister's place in Dallas, i hear on the news that theres 6 ft of flooding in La Porte and Seabrook....and Shoreacres is smack dab in between them. Its not looking good thus far with these surges, and the storm hasnt even hit! This storm may retire me from the Mazda game if things are what it seems....

I hope you have homeowners insurance for flooding.

Auto insurance won't cover it if it's at your house.

Thanx guys, and yes....i have home owners flood insurance. It just sux, i could have just brought the car with me. But decided to leave it at the last minute. The family and i are safe, so its all good.....

that will be sad if it is gone. my p5 and the rx7 weathered it pretty well, but i was hoping to get an insurance claim out of the p5. i really hope that your car is alright. that will just be beyond sad if it is gone.

Its officially totalled guys. All the mods are getting parted out and Gieco now owns a banana.

Luckily only some of the flooring on the first house level sustained water damage(insurance covering). Charles' house is elevated up from most of the neighborhood though so everyone else has it a lot rougher.

dude that sucks big time, not just for your car, but everything with the house too. Most importantly, glad to see that you and your family made it out ok. A car, though hard, can be replaced. So now I guess the question is, what you gonna replace her with?
