How is ANYONE getting past safety inspection on a track with bad brake pads? Not buying it...
I have had very good luck with braking. I purchased upgraded pads somewhere around 15,000. Went to install and there was so much pad left I could not bring myself to do it. I am at about twenty 8 now. I will be purchasing some rotors that dissipate heat a bit better for springtime and will finally do whole package with fluid and possibly ss lines. But I have been trying to wear them out all summer. with the wider sticky tire and suspension bits have really been amazing at increasing control in corner braking and shortened emergency stop distances. I like to do straight line full brake from 65 or so for my friends who are interested in the cars natural ability to perform at the track. The car really is amazing in this aspect. When the booster comes on, you are stopping and quickly! sorry if off track hereYeah, I use the power assist all the time at the finish line... It will not engage if you don't slam on the brakes. Its does not interfere with performance driving/racing if you know your car.
The only time I use it, is when I'm barreling through the finish and need to stop on a dime. Just slam on the brakes and your blood will flow straight to your face!!! It's awesome!!!! No tire screeching or anything.
At first when I was learning my MS3 on the track, I did engage it in the corners a few times, I was used to my non-ABS Miata brakes, anyway, there is a slight delay for the power assist to deactivate. If it happens on course, just forget about your lap...it kills time your times.
But like I said, if you are familiar with driving/racing your MS3, you know how far you can push the pedal before it activates...you really have to push on them hard to activate it.
