Opinions on these Wheels

yeah, they definitely would need to be rolled. May not be too bad when you drive by yourself but with any weight in the car you'll be rubbing over every bump. The day after i got my wheels which are 18x8 45 offset and 235 wide tires the fender grabbed on the tire which made a nice gash in it and pulled the fender down even lower so it rubbed more. And the hanging fender line rubbed even more so you should roll them before you get the wheels.

Wow they're very light. I gues those are where the Gram Lights 57Fs picked up after the design (or Gram Lights?) was sold to Axis (or is it the other way around?)

Anyways those are very nice and clean looking and I guess the price is good for a forged rim. Offset might give a bit of an issue with the fenders but nothing a little rolling couldn't fix. I'm wanting to go 8.5 wide myself and have been really looking at the Rotas, especially the soon to come Rota Grid (TE37s) knockoffs :)

EXACTLY. s*** if i had the 1800 for the wheels plus ??? for tires they would already be installed haha.

it's all in the sidewalls guys...... just remember the second number on the tire size is a PERCENTAGE of the drive surface not and actual unit. example: 235/40/18.... 235mm/40%/18inches.... 40% of 235mm(tread width) is 94mm(sidewall height). So in conclusion wider tire better have lower percentage to not rub. correct me if im wrong.

Axis rims made by Rays... Interesting. Its like how Nismo took the same rim and slapped their name on it... and here I was under the impression that the Gramlight 57f was being discontinued...

yes, that's right. a lot of people dont understand that the sidewall on a 40 profile on a 205 tire is shorter than the sidewall on a 40 profile on a 235. with 8.5" wide rims, even with the same tire profile rating, you'll have an overall larger diameter rim/tire combo. def should roll the fenders to avoid issues.

One of my favorite sites: wheel/tire calculator
It should be set up with stock MS3 wheel+tire on the left and the Axis dimentions on the right with a 235/40 tire (assuming that's what tire you'd run)

Note that it says the package will stick out 18mm farther on the fender side than stock. Definitely fender rolling territory.

i've seen wheel/tire calculators before and they are quite handy when getting a new setup, but that one is the balls! shows all the dimensions you need, differences, and even % change on the speedo. good stuff.
