whats up fellas. its been awhile since ive been in the ville. coming back soon just moved away and blew up the MSP so once its fixed ill be back then we need to get a meet together or something

Haven't been on here in awhile, so welcome to the new faces! I'll be putting together a Mazda meet probably later in August. Stay tuned for details!

Sounds good, any of you make it out to Import Alliance this weekend? I saw a few MS3's and a MS6.

Missed the 2 carshows this past weekend, car in shop getting rebuilt turbo(TY-protegegarage) installed but I also had a wedding to attend so could'nt have made it anyway.
See you all at the Aug meet hopefully, CMESCOOT hope your coming to this one, I wanna see the MS3.(bow)

So who owns the black MS3 that was at I.A.? It was the only other Mazdaspeed I saw out there.

I dunno, but there was a black MS3 that was on the dyno on sunday. He put down 240, but i think it was mostly stock. The guy running the dyno said he lost 100 hp at the end of the powerband, he said something about the boost lvls fall off on the stock ecu.

Yup Yup...

The MS6 suffers the same fate if in 'stock' dress. The throttlebody starts to close as you reach higher rpm's, controlled by the stock ECU. CP-E has recently addressed this problem thru their continueing efforts to crack the stock ECU's software code. (Can you say GO CP-E!!) They have a flash to the stock ECU ($399.00) that gains control over the throttlebody closing down. If you have CP-E's Standback w/PnP option they knock off $100.00 for the upgrade.

DAMNIT! I missed the Import Alliance! I have been so busy at the academy that I haven't had time to keep up with whats been going on. Besides, my car is at Modified Imports in Clarksville waiting to drop my new block in. The new rods and pistons are sitting right here, and Im just waiting on PG to send me my gasket, bearings, and ARP studs. I should get them later this week and will take them to the shop to let Thomas rebuild my baby. (for those of you who didn't know, I grenaded my motor about 4 miles from KY lake on memorial day weekend...)
I will be running arias 8:5.1 forged pistons and Pauter forged rods now, so I should be able to push the absolute limit of the car safely with 100% methanol injection, pending I find someone with knowledge of our cars to give me a good tune.
Klip, has Jeremy been tuning your ride? Im still so nervous about letting the typical honda or evo tuner get their hands on my car, but if you are still running strong, then chances are I'll drop the car off with him and let him give it a shot. I'd like to see numbers in the high 300's. In all actuallity, I'll probably tune it down to around 350ish at the wheels just to make it drivable, then have a 2nd map running 22lbs and meth for when some silly civic boy or the unsuspecting evo/sti driver.
NOTE TO ALL LOWERED MS3 DRIVERS: it would be a good idea to carry two scissor jacks in your car in the event that you blow a fist size hole in your block and need to put your car on a dolly, because that s*** will NOT fit under your bumper without taking the bumper off.

Jeremy? You mean Chris Rodin @ Precision Motors in Hermitage? no tune yet, I am running on the tune from CP-E's Standback, for the CAI & FMIC & TBE. I am saving the funds to make the trip to Maryland (land of CP-E) for a real tune by Mazda friendly tuners.

BTW, enjoy the block. Thomas and his little boy picked it up from my garage a few weeks ago. (yeah it was mine).

Also, If you were to make sure Thomas had CP-E's phone number and he knew to talk to Jordan or Lou, I would trust his tune with any of them. But I know exactly what you mean, I will still be making the drive to Maryland myself as funds allow. I don't really drive mine that hard either. She's still got less than 20k after almost 2 years.

PS: dont forget about the stock ECU REFLASH that CP-E has available from their website now. They finally gained control of the throttlebody. This is a 'MUST' have upgrade.

See you in AUG for the MEET??

Any of you guys ever go to the friday night drag racing out at the Superspeedway? I saw a black MS6 out there a couple weeks ago.

MSP2k3, no I didn't know they had races at the superspeedway. I have been to the races at the old Nashville Fairgrounds last year. Hmmm another Black MS6 huh? did he race it?

Yeah, Chris is who I meant. I had a brain fart and was just talking to another guy named Jeremy. lol. Chris knows I am planning on giving him my car when i get humpty dumpty put back together again. I have thought about making a trip up north to see Lou and Jordan and the rest of the gang. Even thought about letting Ken and the boys at PG take a stab at it. But in the mean time, you think the map that came on the v2 standback will give me what i need to get my by? I will probably have to get with jordan and remind him of my heavy mod list and see if he has a map remotely close to mine. I want a cool daily driver map and a map for when I want to be on meth.

Yeah he did... he did pretty good also. They just started the friday night drag racing at the superspeedway this summer. Go to nashvillesuperspeedway.com and you can look at the schedule.

Fairly confident that Jordan & Lou could fix you up with a map, there is a link on that other forum Mazda 6 club yada that has a bunch of maps for d/l on the MS6. I would bet money that the same exsists on the MS3 boards from the same forum.
As far as I know the tunes that came with the V2 Standback one is a baseline 15psi(stock boost) and a 17psi map. No other changes to fuel maps or timing or anything have been made for those maps. Other than the standard list of mods currently available from CP-E. CAI, FMIC, TBE.
Call CP-E for more info to be sure.
