well of course I'd still have to finish off paying the tC which wouldn't be a problem since i actually have the money to do that now.
^^ i think you mighta got boned. 305*12=3660*5=18300+12000=30,300 on a car that costs 23 grand? Maybe. idk like I said the i don't think the guy factored in taxes or anything. I think he just took the MSRP and figured it out like that. My tC cost 17980 after taxes. I put 7 grand down so I owed 10,980. Paying 197/mo for 5 years. hmmm. that would mean I only payed 1000 in interest? is that right?
Trade after you get here and see what's up. Florida will charge you to register it here and will force you to do so. I believe the "window" is four months. Not a great idea to drive a new turbo 1,500 miles right away, either, unless you're willing to be REALLY bored breaking her in on the trip.
I don't believe Florida will charge you sales tax, but getting it registered will be in the $500 range, maybe.
Unless you have waited six months after aquiring title/lean fl will charge you sales tax. i know it happened to me when i moved back down, i said screw that and waited the last 3 weeks b4 registering down here to avoid the extra$.

registering the car twice in one year is just st00pid. don't get the car until you move to florida. BUT PLEASE DRIVE ONE ASAP

Whoops. If purchased less than six months prior to registering the car in Florida, you're liable for the difference between your state's sales tax and Florida's (currently that's 6%). If New York's sales tax on a vehicle is less than 6% (unlikely?), you'll owe the difference (plus registration, tag, etc.) Here's link to the page from DMV: http://www.flhsmv.gov/dhsmv/newflres.html
wow, thats pretty ghey.
