Hit 4k miles on the car, little past due, but i had to wait for an oil order and everything. But i was looking through my mazda book to look where the drain plug and filter was, and noticed somthing. "Changeing the engine oil should be done by an Authorized Mazda Dealer" Page 8-18 of the M3 book.
Does that mean if i change my oil, my warrenty wont be in effect? Do i have to take it in to have it done?

Keep all records, date/how many miles were on the car/receipts of the oil and filter and you should be fine.

also, im looking at turbo timers? People say its good to get one to save the turbo's life. How much do they go for, hard to install? I got more research to do :(

Key word is "should" be done. It doesn't say it "has to be done" at an Authorized Mazda dealer. It's all about money. Of course Mazda is going to promote going to their dealers to get service done. Service departments contribute to much more of dealer profits than you may think.

search in the how to section for turbo timer install. It will tell the benefits and how to install.

ANY timer will work. I bought one on ebay for $20 shipped and it works just as good as any other. Works nicely! It is good to have if you push the car or drive it long distances.

I was lookin on ebay, and some say for certin cars or are weird lookin ones. Ill check further tho.
