SU Motor mount issues

I was driving home from work going 80 mph on the freeway and bam!!!!. The engine made a loud noise and smoke came out of the hood i pulled to the shoulder and the car shut off. I opened the hood with a towel, because it was soo hot, and a burst of smoke came to my face and i saw fire in the engine bay. I ran away as fast as i could. The car did not explode but the engine is pretty much totaled. No mods were made so the dealer has to take care of it. They cannot figure out what was wrong with it and what caused it.

But yea, wont be buying a mazda again. (headshake

And i only had 10,000 miles on it too. Damn the thing was still new.

Whatever, this is an excuse to buy a new car, Lotus ExigeS FTW

I Just installed my SU Motor mount and i took the MS3 for a spin. It seems to heavily vibrate in neutral and when i am gasing it into first gear. ARe the bolts too tight?

Care to explain?

so i just installed my su motor mount an tightened the bolds really tight.....car vibes as hell but my brother said give it time to break it should be less vibes....(I hope because its kinda bad)but the fell is worth it no more wheel hop even on wet...engine is not rocking back and forward....
I dont know how strong vibes you guys have with trz mm
and yeaah my stock mount was cracked on ruber insert so it was good time for change....

Sunny, if the vibes don't settle to something acceptable, try the AWR 88 duro mount. I notice almost no vibes from mine now that it's broken in and it performs much better than the stock mount.

You'll probably be able to sell your SU mount pretty quickly and lose minimal money.

wow i figure out why i had such a excesive vibes...if you direct your air inside car on any position car vibes as **** but if you direct air on face and legs you have minimal vibes almost none now im happy with mm upgrade....

Yeah I know doesn't make much sense to me either. My vibs seem to settle down with the AC on the highest settings vs the low setting, but then agian I dont know if thats just me due to the increased noise.

I have been driving it with the SU mount in for a week and the vibrations have drastically decreased. Hardly any noticeable vibrations now, so its all good. Soooooooooooooo much better than the stock motor mount.
