anybody? and please, don't tell me to use the search feature, because i tired, and got no answer...

if somebody has the time, i'd really appreciate a pictured how-to response...

actually, I am interested as well, I dont want to get in thtere and start breaking stuff.

you would use the kenwood removal tools..... And if you dont have that just pull off the face plate surround and stick a butter knife into each side of the unit and pull it out...

^ common sense, but i didn't ask for that...

like i said... if anybody has the time and would take pictures of step by step removal it would be greatly appreciated!

wow I try to help you out and get that response....so now you want someone to go take pics of a menial task when i've pretty much spelled it out for you?

I KNOW HOW to take the headunit out, i do not even own it anymore (i switched mine the day i bought the car, and sold the OG a week or so ago). however, the buyer (a friend who just moved out-of-state) (not the most intelligent person in the world), asked for my help if possible, via a pictured-HOW TO.

i'd tell him to stick a butter knife in the side, but knowing this kid he will seriously **** up his dash, then yell at me about it. i'd help him personally, but he now lives in ohio, and i live in eastern PA, outside of philly.

tell him to use a butter nife and if he messes it up tell him that he should bring it to a shop and get someone to do it for him seeing he messed up his dash with a butter knife.

damn.. the crackheads that took mine just jerked it back and forth until it came out. Seemed VERY efficient.

i really thought it was just bolted in. it didn't come with any special tools.. and they gave us the kenwood install stuff with the new car..
