i have just under 1000 miles on my car and i noticed that the right bolster on my drivers seat just started sqweeking. (fu)

it's pretty consistant. if i pull into a parking lot, as soon as i hit the bump at the enterance, it sqweeks.

if i adjust my position, it sqweeks.

do you think mazda will take care of this issue, or should i just suck it up and learn to ignore it.

it's a pretty loud nasty annoying sound.

:(

seatbelt. do a search. take out the bolt that connects the buckle, apply some white lithium grease, and see how it works.

Is that what that creek is...? (huh) I knew it was somewhere around the seatbelt buckle...but never knew there was a fix for it!!!!

Awesome!!! (2thumbs)

So take the bolt that bolts the harness to the floor or the one by the locking device?

That noise has been driving me crazy! Where can I pick-up this white lithium grease?

... and bump for which bolt is it?

Any hardware store has the grease. It does go away over time. Car and Driver even noted the noise. I just thought it was my fat ass in the seat.

My one squeeks too also the driver seat leather was creased, can i ask for a new seat,i have now 10k on it,but the day i had it delivered it had creases or rather rinkles on the right side of the Drv seat.

this thread delivers!

i actually knew it was the seatbelt, but mine is very very intermittent; it definitely is only at lower speeds, thus i've been too lazy to really bother with it, but now i know what to do. im sure i have some white lith lying around.
