Better Acceleration????

Sorry if this has been discussed already but i cant find it. How can our cars get better acceleration?????

Turbo.

That's the cheapest way to get noticable performance. Our cars aren't made to go fast in a straight line.

You could do an intake, exhaust, pullies, etc. but, you may only gain a minor increase. Now, if you had a turbo setup with even just 6psi, you'd notice a significant increase. Add the previously mentioned supporting mods to that turbo, and you'll have a completely different car.

If you don't have the $$$ to spend, you might be best off just upgrading the suspension and leaving cars behind in the twisties

Im deffinetly going turbo just didnt know thats what would do it lol cuz ive driven the mazdaspeed3's and i mean i know you cant compare em but i mean the acceleration on those beasts is scary i wisshhh....lol

Acceleration or speed? If you want good relative speed, just frequent some nice winding roads in about any P5. Drag strip? Yeah, turbo it etc.

ah, i dunno bout that. almost killed myself in a pro5 i had as a rental while my speed was getting windshield replaced on a twisty road. id say the handling is on par with a escort lx. it handles good for a station wagon, but its nothing special in stock form.

I've heard the stock rubber leaves a lot to be desired. I bought mine long after they had been changed.

unless its was an old legacy or very old impreza

i dont thing our p5 can touch any newer subi 02+

if your talking about in the canyons...maybe hes just more cautious and not pushing all the way since he has a most expensive car....i think stis go for wha like 25k...comepared to ours which i think you can get now for like 10k or less..

When my P5 was modded for light track use I could barely keep up with Suburu's in the corners and got my ass handed to me in the straights.

There's gotta be a hundred threads on how to make a P5 fast. Most of them involving selling the car and actually buying something fast. If you want fast, you got into the wrong game friend.

And, everyone knows if you want to go fast, you need a big wing to keep the backend of the car down! And a NOS sticker is good for some serious power!

theres no reason the pro5 cant handle great or be fast. It just takes modification. just look at brianmp5s pro5.

stock of course its nothing special.
