Broken Recall Motor Mount

i have seen the mounts. they are cheap cast metal. i agree with you all. i just think that a 6,000 rpm clutch drop for a burn out with ultimately cause something to get loose or break. you have all seen the wheel hop that these cars make when you burn out. just hink about it.

and yes the zoom-zoom idea is about sprited driving. not abuse. try to tell an mitsu dealer that the evo viii was not at the track and why the transfer case is blown to sh*t.

Yo ******* Mazda voided my warranty for the mount breaking and now my car is stuck 120 miles away from me and they want 1400 to fix. bulls*** huh. AND they said that they found the pictures i posted here and weren't going to cover me why i dont know since the OP's car broke Exactly the same way mine broke. I got a lawyer and where getting in contact with mazda to fight this.

So why (exactly) did they state they weren't going to cover it. I understand you have modded your car, but they have to show, by law, that the mod could (not did) have caused the problem. What mods do you have again?

the only thing that should "get loose or break" from a 6k clutch drop is the tires getting loose and breaking traction ! these mounts are 100% s***. i have not broken the metal but i have tore up the rubber on mine 3 times !
mazda has not given me any problem either and last time i went in for the problem i had all the mods in my sig !! guess what i still have full warranty too. my dealer told me they dont care. they fix something under warranty and they get paid by corporate. if they tell you that you must pay, odds are you walk away and they get no $$$. thats how they see it. sounds like the place you go to is filled with a bunch of cock suckers.(bj)

I highly recommend that we start a fire list of dealers with known "douche baggery acts" and sticky it, I suggest we hit them in the pockets that will help the process I bet!

Anyone with me?

i agree with that. why should we support the places that are screwing other members ?

did Ken get a hold of you?

at my dealer. they warrenty everything. and i mean everything. it is not a dealer that would void a warrenty. it was mazda. dealers could refuse to work on your car and make you pay because they want more money then what mazda warrenty pays thenm to do the job. but there are some dealers that are dicks. i agree with you on that. they don't want to get an mazda rep to show up at the dealership and check all the old parts and find something rigged up or something that shouldn't be warrenty and it is.

just a little insight. we are replacing a turbo for the third time on a ms6 yesterday. it amokes after 10 minues at idle. no problem. no boost mods. warrentied!!!! that easy. and he has a cat back.

MAN what you dont get is people like you they already have a case file with all your posts and the mods in your sig. you better hope nothing serious happens to your car cause they will try and use it against you like they tried with me. Lucky all i had was just an intake.......

Hey well Mazda came down to look at my car and they voided the hell out of me. Said abuse and there goes my power train. They said my tires after 7400 miles were bald like slicks LOL. Dealer is Open Road Mazda in East Brunswick NJ the district customer service guy is RON RED. I just got unlucky and broke down in that area and being voided is the price I paid.

Dark sun, sorry about the stuff you went through. I think we need to start a thread that highlights dealerships such as the one you went to so people in our community know to avoid them. What do you think?

This is not right! DarkSun is there no other dealership that you can go to?Do you have more pics that we can forward to autoblog as well as the name of the person that denied the claim at Mazda?

Open road mazda is the worst dealership in NJ. They didn't tighten the bolts on my wheels after a tire rotation and they almost fell off at highway speeds. They could never fix anything without taking it in three times. I hate those fuckers.

haha, yeah I gave them a bad review for sure. Take it to crystal mazda if you can. They are awesome and will probably charge you less. They are located in green brook nj. Ask for Miral to work on your car. He is the tech that specializes in the mazdaspeed stuff. What mods do you have by the way.

I just sent off an email with a link to this thread to Autoblog.com, this is quite a good story for them considering the mods you had on the car and the extent of the damage. To top it off we also have the name of the dealership that denied your claim! We need to start making bad press for them since they want to use the internet against you. We will just use it against them.

Question.. when did you buy your car? if it was after the recall was posted.. they were required to fix this problem before it was sold. if you bought it before... and never got your vehicle serviced .. then the problem may be on you.. but they cant viod your warenty for you putting after market arts on your car.. or call bald tires abuse.. there is a federal act that states this.. unless they can prove that your modifications caused the defect in your vehicle.. and since we all know that your mods didn't you can take them to court for your warranty back. and your cost of repair. and any rental you had to aquire in the time of repair. Probally more than that.. i dont remember the act name,, but it started with a "M" As stupid as it sounds... id like to say it was called the munsey act. But im not actually sure right this second. But im quite sure your lawyer would know or could find it for you. Im all for the Dealership black list.. i got a good one for you.. and im going though the same thing you are.. your pics look identical to mine.. but my ms3 wasnt modded.. but the mount failed.. and left my vehicle in the same EXACT condition as yours. But what is Really needed to help every user on this board is to know.. EXACTLY how many people this has happened to.. with this, Mazda has no chance for voiding warrenties or even winning a court case..

Edited: I found the act.. its called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act... read on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act

no i think you might be looking at it the wrong way... its there to protect them as well as it is there to protect us... if some jerk bought a ebay hid set and burnt up his harness.. then obviously he doesnt deserve a warranty on his vehicle. But if someone like us bought something nice exaust.. and our power locks stop working.. do we deserve not to have a warranty because we altered something that was on a different part of the car. They have to prove it.. and usually the lawyer that you would use to fight these companys are free.
