IDK if this has happened to anyone else but today when i was washing my car i noticed my reverse lights were ON and i said weird. car was in ACC. then i turned it on and they were still on... put it in reverse and on like normal took it out of reverse and into 1st. and they were still one....
so i thought maybe it was the PIAA bulbs i had on there so i put the stocks and same thing. checket the fuse and replaced it and still same thing. disconected the battery...and guess wat that s**t is still on... it got so hot that it started meltin the inside of the bulb housing so i took them out till i figure out wtf is up....

u can barely tell but the inside looks melted...

They stayed on when you disconnected the battery? How is that even possible? (scratch)

You need to go see your local deal for some warranty work, my friend.

Had this problem with my P5...it was a relay. On the P5 it was on the drain plug for the tranny. May be worth while checking out...

(band)went to the dealer!!! had a good experience luckily!!! its a switch that the rod sets off when you put it into reverse. there is a lil spring inside that bends and can go bad.. (the guy who was working on my car was familiar with this on other mazdas but 1st 3!) he said warranty would cover it also replace the two melted reverse tail lights but i would have to take the black paint off. i thought there goes $12 bucks but w.e i rather have nice new tail lights!

TOOK THE PAINT OFF AND SPRAYED SOME CLEARCOAT ON EM TO MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD(band)
FRIDAY I WILL HAVE NEW REVERSE TAILLIGHTS AND REPLACE SWITCH.

FTW THE GUY WHO RECIEVED MY CAR THOUGHT ONE OF MY MOTOR MOUNTS WAS BROKEN BC SO MUCH VIBRATION...LOL...(EPOXY MOTOR MOUNT)
