there is another model that does timming as well. it would work on NA cars but there is no point. it can only retard timming and thats the exact opposite on what we want to do.
the cars stock air fuel ratios need improvement, but open loop gets richer and richer when you put more stuff on the car. if you have a good amount of bolt ons, i think the air fuel controller is a good upgrade.
my car would be stoicheometric all the way untill 5000 rpms, then my open loop would go as rich as 10.0:1!! my car was begging for an improvement.
if your planning on buying a 626 manifold for NA, this should be considered. you will take full advantage of all that extra air comming in, and having the 626 manifold combod with a good tune with the afc, then its going to be a pretty big and notcieable gain.
a few weeks ago, my mechanic always made fun of my car untill i gave him a recent ride in it ( before the afc) and he was asking me what the hell i did to the car, lol.
