BC Coilovers, Hotchkis Sways and MS Camkit Kit installed

did you get the car alignment yet?

I brought it in to get done but they didnt want to touch it cuz it was so low, they recommended me to their performance oriented branhc that has the machine flush with the ground...prob gonna go tomorrow after i adjust the height tonight. This is tire kingdom by the ay...$119 3 year alignment...cant beat that.

looks like you had a very busy weekend. I am interested to hear your review of the BC's after a few months of driving and compare that with the H&R reviews. Looks really good tho!

Thanks ill let you guys know for sure as i am also interested lol...my first impression is wow...great quality, easy install...as for time, it went faster than i thought it would...the instructions BLOW! Bad taiwanese to english translation but nothting too hard to figure out...my cousin and i knocked out the front and back with all the extra susp mods in about 10-11 hrs.

yea i did mine in 8 hours with a lift! and lunch and some goofing off inbetween! the hard thing i thought was seperating the stut in the front!

how did u do the back did u drop the sub frame?

you have the BCs??? Didnt really drop it...unbolted it with a floor jack underneath and raised and lowered as necessary to get everything in and aligned to be re-tightened

i have d2 coil overs but i didnt drop mine. jsut from what i learned u can drop the shock and there is a nut that holds the mount on! if u have an impact u can jsut buzz it off! then it will fall out the bottem hole thats what saved me all that time! jsut a thought

Nice! Where'd you get the coilovers from and how much? Do you still happen to get that "float" like the stock suspension?

Thanks ;) i got them at Street Unit...price is between you and them...it floats if you want and not if you dont...it has 32way adjustable dampers front and rear..im currentyl at 13 front 15 rear and it feels like stock...just a tad firmer.

Thanks...not for viewing. Its ideal for monitoring boost on a dyno...not showing the world that my car is turbo by puttin it on the pillar where everyone can see it ;)

yes I like the location. i would like to put a set of mini gauges in replacing the ashtray location angled towards drivers eye, just some oil and air temps All I need to see when doing ahem focused driving is a tach and a speedo .

alignment yet? im dying to see how much camber u can get in the front.... the damn k-mac front camber plate i got it still sitting at home cuz IT STILL RUB......(hand)

still havnt gone..sorry yute...been busy, I'm prob gonna set it at negative 1 in the front and leave it there. You can get crazy camber with these if you want though. When I first dropped down the car an drove it off the ramps I heard a horrible scrape noise...turns out the top of the wheels leaned in so much the inner part of the rim scraped the bracket that has the abs sensor wire attached to it. I ended up taking off the wheel and bending the bracket back with a vice grip...it just holds the wire in place so it really doesn't matter...then I loosened the top of the strut and pulled it towards me as far as I could by hand and tightened it up...viola! No more rubbing. Now I just need to get the camber adjusted the right way with the camber plate... I WILL do it this week, I'll let you know.

negative 1 ???(notcool) i can get -1.6 stock....the whole point of getting the adjustable front camber plates are getting more than stock....for autox u want as much as u can without rubbing....-2.5 to -3 is what im shooting for... my k-mac camber plates right now can get that but like what u said i rub the inner part of the body....if thats the case than this coilover is not for me.....that sux...

it rubbed a bracket, not the body. The bracket just holds the abs line and can be bent without even breaking a sweat. Nothing to do with the coilover.

Man that is great. I was about to...in a month or so...do the same thing, hotchkis and BC's. Its awesome to hear that you like them.

BC, from what i hear, makes the Meagan CO set up for the RX8 and people seemed to like those, so i figured that i would give them a shot.

Anyway, thanks for the pics and review!!

I too just installed my BC Coilovers.. i went to align it today not knowing this thread existed and I couldnt adjust the camber. so Im going to hole saw it out as well. I dont know about the rear camber adjustments though..its a little tough but well worth the time and money. tommorow everything should be done and its off to my rims.
