What have you done to your P5 today?

the oil light comes on when i turn to the left when the engine is cold... i just noticed this the other day. it could have been happening for such a long time because the steering wheel spoke blocks where the light is on the dash when you turn to the left...

wtf. the oil level is fine. but its been 3k miles and its time for an oil change...

I'm picking my car up in a half hour!! Woot for me!! Mechanic says it's ready, he's just got A LOT of paperwork together and faxed over for the warranty work. So, hopefully they don't send an inspector over tomorrow to check the car, cause I'll have to take it back. As soon as he figures out what I owe em, I gotta go back to pay em the deductable.

I bought a Momo hub so I can get a steering wheel... still waiting on responses from people before I get my new springs for the AWR coilovers and the actual Momo steering wheel. I want to find a seat soon also. Oh and I'm going to buy a bunch of tools and tool box!

In a week my vacation starts, going to get the P5 out of storage and tinker on it :D Can't wait!!! Now if this f'n snow would go away...

I had the same problem with my first motor... It actually turned out to this end: bad oil pump --> leaking/burning oil --> oil starvation --> spun rod bearing --> blown holes in the block --> zoomzoomboom.

Yeah, the oil light is one of those "I'm telling you this but it's already too late" lights. Get that checked YESTERDAY

oil starvation. oil burnage. oil not getting to where it needs to be. DONT DRIVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! park it and fix whatever needs to be fixed. Its all fun and games till the motor locks up at 55mph.

Before you freak out because of what everyone else is saying check out the stock pressure sender. I have read about cases where these have gone bad/had a bad connection/etc. I am inclined to believe this especially because you say your oil level is fine (although I do not know what "fine" means). Start with the cheapest solution and work towards the most expensive. I learned this lesson after I bought a new O2 sensor when really all I need was a downpipe stud.

just installed a catless midpipe from sls performance, took a while cuz it didnt come with bolts, but when i downshift at a light the exhaust reaaly pops loud now lol

Drove 78 miles roundtrip on my lunchbreak today to pick up some slightly used Blizzak WS-50's. They are 185/70/14 and I should be picking up some 14" steelies to mount them on tomorrow.

Not bad for $100, huh?

Had the tires rotated and balanced. Gonna get oil and a few things more tweaked in prep for my drive down to Florida to work corners at the 12 hours of Sebring.
