horrible day

alright so i have a funny story....well a couple.


so a few tuesdays ago i was about to go to work after running errands all day long and realized i left my headlights on for a few hours and it killed my awesome battery. nobody was around to jump me and i couldnt figure out what i was going to do to get this ******* thing going. so i dropped the ebrake...rolled down my hill.....and pop started it. hahahaha. yea....i pop started it. lol. so i went to work, did my day, and once i got out around 11 pm it snowed.....a lot. this car doesnt drive in snow with stock tires for all of you that didnt know. i got 3/4 the way home and boy was this damn thing the little engine that could up these snowy hills. i got about a mile within my house and it stopped half way up the second to last hill on a major road. i had to call my buddy in his superduty F-350 to come tow me home. i put on the tow hook and got pulled the rest of the way home. the tow hook works well btw. lol. stupid northeast. got the best of my sportscar that day ill tell you. hahahaha. oh man.

although, it scares the hell out of me that we can still "pop the clutch" to get a car going. I thought they put defense mechs in to prevent things like that like 20 years ago.

I wouldn't even risk getting stuck somewhere with the stock RE050A tires. They suck in the rain, let alone snow. The rubber compound is way too soft to work on cold pavement.

you still need the key... it's actually a very good thing.

hell yeah it is.... I had an integra that would only start by popping the clutch so I always made sure to park it on a hill, lol. I was really good at running beside it and jumping in, too.

He had the key and the battery prob had enough juice to run the electrical security items just not enought to crank the starter....I would worry more about fubaring the cats by continuous clutch starting...

I was really good at running beside it and jumping in, too.

TR6's were notorious for the ring gear starting to slip off the flywheel on one edge. If the engine stopped in the wrong spot the starter wouldn't engage. That run alongside and jump in is a lot easier with a small convertible, trust me.

youre exactly right. it didnt have enough just to turn the starter. no continuous pop starts either. just thought it was pretty funny.
