What's the deal with CEL's/MIL's? Will this thing be able to fool dmv? Most states require plug into the ecu.

there would be no CELs/MILs because the ECU would be more or less dead weight while the Hydra is plugged in. process to pass emissions = unplug hydra, have car scanned, leave DMV, plug back in hydra.

Is this one of those standalones that you set up half way, go drive it around while it learns the tune, finish the installation, and then adjust the tune that it picks up on? Also, how well will that auto-tune function work on the direct injection? This car deffinately needs a standalone to climb up substantially in numbers, but I don't know that I could set up all the maps and correction maps and everything from scratch.

auto tune bases itself off of a desired air fuel ratio for a user defined parameter. if you want 14.7 to 1 at 1000rpm idle it will take a wideband input and tune the EMS accordingly. whether or not its direct injection will not affect it honestly.

you would be a guinea pig for the direct injection application if you were to do this. part of this project is having hydra develop a specific unit for the application.

the Microtech we sell is only for the Mazda6 and Mazda3, not the Mazdaspeed models and they are not plug and play. this thread is to gauge interest for a plug and play Mazdaspeed6 system.
