2007 Mazda 3 Sirius Options

Hello,

I have a 2007 Mazda 3 and I want to know what options, or what the best deals are, for getting Sirius hooked up directly to the factory installed radio. I had an S50 but want something hard wired to the factory radio instead.

Thanks.

Well basically you have to get the mazda sirius receiver. From the dealer it should run you $305 new. Also you can periodically find them on ebay for about $150. Lots of forum people have gotten them from the same seller and not had any problems.... can't remember his s/n right now.

Is installing the satlite receiver something that someone can do over a weekend or is this something the dealer needs to do?

If you're comfortable with pulling off the interior panels then you can install it yourself. It's not difficult, just time consuming.... especially the first time you take off the panels. There are plenty of walkthroughs and instructions available for how to run the wires. It will probably take you an afternoon at the very least.

On the MazdaUSA site you can find the sirius accessory for $14.00! Sirius Accessory link
However you have to get it from a dealer.

Is this just the parts for the installation?
It is just the installation kit. Some tie wraps, rubber pads. The most important thing is it includes the Mazda3 instructions, but you can get them elsewhere (PM me).
