What have you done to your P5 today?

Yup. The mechanic thinks I might be able to pull off the SpeedCircuit motor if I pay the difference. Teeheehee. I never thought I'd be so happy that my motor is about to blowup.

Now, quick question, if I were to get the speedcircuit motor, I'd get the 9:1 compression pistons. I don't ever plan on boosting more than 14 psi. It does not come with a head. Can I use my stock head? Or will it need some work?

And, the possibility of not getting the speedcircuit motor, would forged rods and pistons be enough for low boost application? What else should I upgrade while the motor is out?

I'd just go buy a beater for a month and wait for the fun motor(drive2)

I would, but, I don't think the warranty company would understand why it's taking a month to get a motor. I think I'ma just get forged pistons and rods for now.

Finally have time and nice weather to do my Oil Change+ ATF Flush, and AEM filter wash.
Oil was long overdue(6000 miles). Used my usual oil Mobil1, oil was all black and thick. Then was the auto tran. Flushed using The How to's by Mad Hatter. also long overdue (40,000 and 6 years) used Mobil1 ATF.
The Flush How to's was VERY EASY, and I will say at least 98% Replacement of oil ATF.
Next, will be Brake pads. maybe Hawk hps.

i have a built block ready to sell....
8.5:1 compression, JE pistons Pauter rods. .. you can just bolt your stock head up to it. no problems...Mine's ready to go... we can work something on shipping.

Thanks for the offer, but, I don't think I'll be take your motor. The mechanic will have to order it. I don't think you can bill him for it. lol. What are you asking for it though? 8.5:1 is my compression.(BUILT FOR BOOST)... . it's got like 2k miles on it. i took it out of my engine bay b/c i'm doing 8.0:1 compression..for SERIOUS boost.. .. it's ready to bolt up. you get it. put your head/alternator/etc on and boom done.

and lo0king for a grand.

to be honest. i don't have specs.

Wagner motorsports built the block for a guy named clintt. I bought it from clintt as he did not even use the motor before he decided to part out due to bills.
Wagner is now closed down. The motor ran great. it was in my car. i just decided on lower compression. Kooldino worked/tuned my car. i need a replacement block, or 200.00 more or so

you can boost high w/ this motor. it'll handle it. just not what i'm gonna throw at it!.
 
mazdaspeed or o.g. do either of you guys have pics of your AWR endlinks? I just got mine in the mail and even at their shortest adjustment height they are still like 3.5 inches longer than the stockers. I want to make sure I got sent the correct part and not the front endlinks by accident.

Here is a pic of my front endlinks I have yet to install do to some stubbern stock endlinks. So if they look anything like these they are front endlinks:

Well ****, another screwed up order from PG - that's the second order of mine they've screwed up in less than one year! Yeah, it looks like they sent me the fronts - mine have the same black tube housing and everything. Well looks like I need to get ahold of Ken again...

Dang, sucky! Do you have aftermarket front endlinks already? If not you should just keep them and order some rear ones. I bet Ken would give you a discount on the rear ones for your trouble.
 
Installed a blue (to match the exterior) pine tree shape new car secant air freshener .

Lol, that only works in a Civic.
Washed last night, only to be dirty again by the time I got to work today. I drove for a total of 10 minutes. Winter makes it nearly impossible to keep the car clean.
 
started it up and drove it around the block for a few times. first time driving it in two weeks! Also checked the brake pads...going to order some from Jeff at Tripoint soon...maybe rotors too
