I got my Mazda6 rear wiper conversion in the mail - thanks to Bagman and onlinemazdaparts. Just a quick question to anyone who has already done this - from what I can tell right now you can't lift up on the wiper without first removing the bolt-cap thing. Is this just how it works or am I missing something?
Bah, that's what I was afraid of. Not really too big a deal but I can't see the design process behind that. Oh well, it certainly looks a hell of a lot better. Well if things go well this weekend I will be changing oil and transmission fluid as well as installing my Progress rear swaybar and the Mazda6 rear wiper arm. Might even try playing with the throttle cable a little. Ooh, ambitions. That's all there is to it...just pop off the cover and it exposes the nut holding it on. Once you have everything installed the wiper will no longer be able to be lifted from the glass (propped up, say for cleaning the glass) unless you modify the new 'cap' also.
Theres a good how to thread on the matter. It's a cool mod!

lasermp5, you going to be headed to Classic Mazda March 8th? I'll be up in Longwood that weekend. Sounds like Taylor (evilmonkeyMSP) is also going to be headed there as well as afew others.

Dang, what's going on at classic on the 8th? Ya I should be there.

Dropped of my rental car at the airport to pick up mine and head into work. Walked out to this and proceeded to call the wife and let her know that I will never leave my car at the airport again in the Winter. Had about an inch of ice completely covering the entire front end of the car. I do have to say, as I have before. Blizzaks rule ! I had a Pontiac G6 that I had to drive home from Chicago in yesterday, that thing was all over the road. I have so much more confidence when I drive mine........
Hello Jeffrey, how are ya doing?

Hey check this out. It is from the how-to thread. I still have to do this to mine as it is a minor pita to remove the cap when washing the car or for those icy days when you want to get your wipers off the glass.

Dude, that sux! How long did it take to clean her off?
if you have to leave it somewhere in the snow again, you might want to see if there is a car cover that fits
Hey thanks a lot - that's actually what I was thinking about doing but I wasn't sure if that piece was necessary for something.Hey check this out. It is from the how-to thread. I'm good thanks! Just got back from Israel last Saturday, was home for 2 days, and now I'm in Texas. Can't wait to get back home so I can drive the p5 around again! I'm gonna do a seafoam and oil change soon, and also new brake pads (and possibly rotors too).
Also, I bought some new winter tires on clearance for next winter since my winter tires were getting low on tread. Paid $280 shipped for 4 Bridgestone Blizzak Revo 1s!![]()
Not as long as I thought it would. The freakin ice was the worst part....
That snow was pretty damn deep behind me too. I had to get thru the drift where the plow truck had tried to bury me in. But, again the Blizzak's showed me exactly why I bought them in the first place. Plowed thru like the snow wasn't even there.

I would say no, not normal. I'm having throttle issues with my 626 IM and your tach needle easier moves 2-3 times as much as mine does. Almost seems like a vacuum leak somewhere?
