so, i got a ticket for my window tint (suck!), and i had to remove it. (70% legal in NY, i had 35%)

so, when i removed the tint, the adhesive left behind a ansty residue. windex won't touch it. what do you suggest i try?

goo gone/prep solvent.

goo gone might leave another residue on other body panels.

also try fingernail polish remover (acetone).

what do proffesional shops use to remove it?

our detail shop uses this stuff called prep-sol which is basically a similar mix to acetone. I would assume something similar @ other places.

new razor blade and a lil widow cleaner i had to do it to my old car..and its very easy.. IT WONT MESS UP THE GLASS

i'm gonna have to do this as well when i get back home. not cause it's to dark, just cause when my friend had it for a couple months his kids somehow got the tint to peel on the sides and there's tint missing. looks horrible, so i'm just gonna get the same % put back on. if a tint shop looks at the previous tint can they match it? or is it best to replace all of it to match?

Mod - get this out of here!!!!

already reported and for every post to be deleted from that person. Good thing I didnt check this thread at work. Its gettign to the point that I can only check this forum at home becasue of this crap. I think that new members shouldn't be able to post images or even link to images tell a certain post count. However URL should still be allowed as anyone can see where it leads before clicking it.
