Just hit 4,000 miles. It has gone on about 3 times in the past two weeks and stayed on for at least a day or two. It went off this morning but I took it to the dealer anyway. Now I get to drive a Dodge Stratus until they figure it out. (screwy)Matt'sSpeed6 said:What mileage are you at? How many times has this hapenned?
Matt
they let me go with my car. the CEL was actually off for a day, but came right back on again....chuyler1 said:Did they give you a loaner or let you go home with the car?
chuyler1 said:Ok, so I just got off the phone with the service dept. He said they replaced the gas cap and my car is all set. (dunno)
I guess I'm good to go then.
ouch, yea keep us posted
the only way to make the actual light go away from what I know of, is to have it reset..... if your car is still under warranty you shouldn't have a problem getting them to look at your car....
yeah you could do that, but some autozones' only have the OBD-II scanner and from what I recall someone said you need a CET compatible scanner (or something like that I don't quite remember)
I haven't ever gotten a check engine light so I can't help you with that code :\
Your probably talking about CAN-OBD-II...I picked one up at sears...I cleared the code and see what happens. I expereince no power loss or anything...I bet it was the weather that caused it. It was cold that morning etc.
