Just got my 06 this afternoon with 43k. Did a VERY short stint of spirited driving following work, around 7 PM, and when I parked my car, the CEL appeared. Any ideas?

Yes it was cold out (about 40 degrees) but the car was slightly warmed up, not ice cold but not fully warmed up. Also, when I picked it up from the dealership, it had a full tank of gas. If it were to be the gas cap, when I tighten it, will the CEL go off?

Yes, the gas cap CEL should go off if it's the cap and you retighten it. But, if that doesn't do it then you need to pull the CEL and find out what it is. Autozone will pull the CEL for you for free.
