Fujita CAI Installed on the MazdaSpeed6.

(dunno)
you might have put the filter up to far on the pipe which will hurt performace cause the air flow will be block somewhat. make sure the pipe is only in enough to get the clamp on it. if that makes sense.
like this...

what that diagram means is not to stick the filter to far up the pipe because you can restrict airflow causing a big loss in power.

yeah, there has been a few people who have put the filter on to far on the tube and it has caused them to lose a few psi of boost in turn losing power. also make sure all your clamps are tightened. i had forgto to tighten the ones connecting the intake to the turbo inlet tube and it resulted in high vacuum at idle, like 30inHg, and not as much boost pressure, like 14 was the highest it would go. tightened em up and i got 16psi spikes and at idle it would sit around 22inHg vacuum.

Currently it's off the car.

When i go to re-install..I will follow ur tip..and see what comes of it.

For the record, with the filter all the way up on the tube. I did not experience any loss of boost..or what i thought was loss of power.

well you re-instal it, if its not too much trouble can you take pix ?

I plan to take pics and thow together a quick how to.

Only thing is it's going into shop tomorrow for TSB clutch. So theres no telling how long it will take to get my car back.

i actually bought it used... the filter was replaced though with a new one. sooo no instructions

Its still very easy. Last time i went to the shop on base to change it they closed 30 minutes after i got there.. So i had to hurry. I had the stock one off and the fujita on and all cleaned up before they closed. The only thing that sucks is what was mentioned before... The resinator box

whats soo hard about it?????? i really now contemplating doing it but im scared that’s once i start and get stock i wont be able to do n e thing ...

i finally got the CAI today and here are the instructions it came with...

if you guy see anything that you can to for more detail please do so.

you need what they call a "recharge kit"

sorry to hear you bought a dirty CAI.... the seller could have at least had the decency to clean it for you....

oh i forgot to say..... you should be able to buy a filter recharge kit from your local automotive store....

I would suggest you clean it before installation. Otherwise just purchase a new filter.

I not sure if this type of filter can been cleaned and re-used.

fujita filters simply need to be washed with soap and water, they are dry element filters. don't bother getting a recharge kit because it is not an oiled filter, you will ruin it.
