Thoughts, observations on Cobb AP

Hey I hope CPE does make a great product, competition for Cobb to make better and better and more powerful Maps. I been waiting for Cobb to come out with the AP but if it doesn't come out or there are issues, or even if CPE makes more power or a better product, I may go there route. I been waiting for the AP, haven't even put on an intake because I want to use what Cobb uses when they make there maps so it runs like theirs(Either stock airbox or the Cobb SRI obviously). They don't even recommend an intake for there Stage 0 and 1 WRX maps if I remember correctly.

Cobbs OTS Maps will be conservative for sure, but expect pretty big gains. Look at what an 04 WRX Stage 0 gets for power and youll see what I mean.

But I'll bet the powerband is wider and the car is much more driveable in general. At this point, I'll be happy if their maps can smooth out the powerband and correct the ridiculous temperature compensation problems these things have. It isn't just the modded guys with that problem. All I have is an MS-CAI and if the temp changes significantly from morning to evening, it's like driving a different car home.

ya, don't forget that that +5% is only true if you're looking strictly at peak power. the thing that is more indicative of actual speed is the area below the torque curve...=d

I would be happy with a conservative tune from the AP. If I want more, I will take it to a tuner that is very familiar with the AP. Staples187, I am going to talk to Hill@Agile about this.
