REASON FOR HAVING TO SELL:
well we got the car and kept having small little problems with it, which Ive slowly been repairing and fixing. we are at the point where there were no more problems with it (little things like small exhaust leaks or the sway bar bracket not wanting to hold the sway bar....all fixed). but not too long ago the LSD finally snapped on me, so the cars been in our shop for a few weeks. we decided to drop in upgraded rods and pistons while the motor was out as well so that we wont have to worry about the bad stock rods breaking.
the problem is the car is in my dads name, and he feels that the car is going to continue having problems and doesnt want to deal with it (even though Im the one whos been paying for fixing everything) and so he wants to get rid of it in favor of getting a new car that wont have any problems. well Im still trying to talk him out of it, but hes pretty much got his mind set, and since he technically owns the car its really his choice
so right now Im not officially selling it but Im wondering how much I could sell the car for. this is now a fully built car, its got a fully built engine, transmission, and possibly a larger turbocharger (I have it here, its a t3/t4 hybrid 42 trim that just needs a turbo manifold and downpipe...Id be willing to install it on the car if it would help up the price I could sell it for).
there are several things Im willing to do to up the price of the car. I was originally planning to drop in larger injectors and up the boost to 18 psi on the larger turbocharger, and Im still willing to do that if it will help the car sell for around the price Im hoping to sell it for. It will all be professionally tuned by a local shop that does very good work (they specialize in Lotus's).
would I be crazy in asking 20k for this car? how much do you think I should offer it for when I do sell it?
