2003 Mazda Protege ES
Hi there, great forum you have here!

I just picked up a used 2003 Protege ES with 35,485 kms or ~22,000 miles on it. It is in nice shape except for some little marks which I might need advice on how to fix, and also there is some bubbling on the rims but I might make it a project to fix that (found a nice thread for it!) The car is all stock with tint added but it has a lot of nice options and I just love driving it! The power sunroof is cool and the car looks sleek, black on black! The mileage seems pretty good so far too.

I am interested in adding a remote trunk release and remote start. I'm also really excited to upgrade the sound but I'm pretty broke $$ :(

I'm Canadian, any other Canucks here? :D

Looking forward to gaining knowledge on my new car. I'll post a pic tonight when I get home from the office!

very nice! well welcome!
there's everything you need to know here!

and your car's manual right?

(not to be prejudice against automatic cars or anything...)

manuals are just so much more fun!!! (cabpatch)

of course! lol, even i get tired of having a manual when i'm stuck in traffic for a couple of hours...now that sucks!
...my feet feel like they're going to fall off...(notcool)

hey canadian brother! welcome, you bought a real nice car!(exactly the same here)hahahahahha!

youre gonna love it,i got mine brand new in july 2003,and i still love it,just one thing, take real good care of that black paint...

dont forget to give it some good quality wax!

Thanks for the welcomes :)

Is it weird to think my Protege looks good when it is dirty too?

This car handles pretty good in the snow, even with the Dunlops still on it.

I love driving this car. I am very very happy with my purchase! I would love to have some money to do stuff to it, even just to replace the factory tunes. Man, the sound system is super weak. I can't wait to drop some money into it!!!!! Really jones'ing for an iPod-compatible head unit!!

if your looking for winter tires,i d suggest the bridgestone blizzaks,i have mines for 4 years now,its amazing, this car is a snow eater,so agressive, nice weight balance, and the abs system is really working great, not crappy like many small cars,it really works only when its needed, and on the wheel that needs it...

if you ever need some advice on the car,(mechanic or anything)ask me,i know it perfectly,so i know every tricks of it....oh and before i forget,i ll give the link of the workshop manual, always good to have, its for the 2002,but the mechanic is the same...here you go buddy!
