Why didnt I listen about S U

I recently got a MazdaSpeed6 and didnt like the chrome emblems that the car came with. So I looked around and found a set of black "flying M" emblems made by SU that another forum member was selling due to his car being sold. Purchased those from him and installed them on my car. Decided that the MazdaSpeed6 emblem needed to match so I went to SU web site and saw that they also sold that emblem. Price was a bit steep at $79. Looked around and found a coupon linked from Toronto Protege forum to SU own forum for "40% off All Street Unit Performance Apprel and Decals/Emblems".
Coupon code is: SUSTICK40
Input coupon code and it took the discount with no problems. (Note I tried other coupon codes that did not apply previous to finding this code and they were denied as not applicable.)
Input my billing/shipping info and was given a confirmation # and the sale was accepted.
Imagine my surprise when I got a message from Mike at SU to call him. I called and he stated that there was a "mistake" and the coupon doesnt apply. I informed him that his on site was where I got the coupon code from and it was accepted with no problem at time of sale... He again said he would not honor the coupon and offered me 3% off.....
Now I see his site is down for maintenance and can only assume it will have the info on the coupon altered so as not to reflect emblems as discountable.
The only fair thing to do here is honor the coupon as stated and give me the emblem for the price originally listed....
Sigh why didnt I listen to all the stuff posted here bout them....Shame on me...

Well, a "MazdaSpeed6" emblem isn't actually a "Str33tUnit" decal or emblem, assuming they sell decals/emblems that say "Str33tUnit."

That said, it sounds like it's not exactly clear, and the website did let you apply the discount, making it seem really legit. A good businessman would have made it clear to you what they meant it to say, fixed the website, and given you the discount anyway, to keep a customer and keep you from talking s*** about them. Clearly, they have no idea what a good businessman should do!

well atleast they didnt charge your card the imporper amount. ive heard much worse stories so i guess chalk this one up as a lose and buy your self a can of 5$ flat black rattle can paint and DIY. thats my idea

Foolish is exactly right!! they made the mistake, they need to eat the costs and honor the discount anyways then change the website.

hey mdogg their site shows vinyl with the SU name but no EMBLEMS with the SU name. The coupon was for apparel or vinyl or EMBLEMS... IF there isnt a SU emblem and they list other emblems FS isnt it logical to assume that the EMBLEMS the coupon is talking about are the only ones the site lists....
My recommendation is for you to get off SUs jock and actually read the full post.....

BTW, if a coupon code isn't meant for the item you have purchased it wont give you the discount, otherwise I would go look up all the discount codes they have and get myself some free s***. It's their fault and should give it to you for the price you were quoted after the coupon code was entered and accepted.

Oh, and about this...

May I recommend that you stop trying to protect a site that is banned from this forum, for obvious reasons...
