just got paint sealant...then the rain came

i just got my paint sealant done @ 7am and it had approx 13 hours to bake in sun and dry....but then it started to rain later that day. the service dept told me not to wash it in a week! what do you guys think? should my car be okay? i know its under warranty but im still trippin. i tried and searched dry times but couldn't find more info.

p.s. i know some may think its not worth it to begin with but it was hella cheap and only added 5$ more per month.

i would def wash it with a good automotive soap to remove the water spots and crap in the rain...13 hours in the sun is enough time to cure most clear coats and im pretty sure a sealant cant take more than that...most sealants are applied then wiped off so i don't know why ya need to not wash it.....sounds like that dont wax ur fresh paint job old day talk

I just had my frotn clip of my car repainted and they told me to wash it with just water for the first month and not to wax it for 2.... Why would they tell me this then?

What they dont want you to do is use some sort of detail spray. Im guessing their so called sealant is actually a polymer which needs time to adhere to the paint. I wouldnt worry about it. Their sealant packages or more of scam for extra revenue than anything else. I would suggest using zaino in the future if you want thats low maintenance. Good luck!

appreciate the feedback. the cost was around 259 (5 bucks more per month) and from my friends buying cars i saw that hondas was around 1k and subies 700 so i just said f it and picked it up
