Dent in FRONT BUMPER AH!

Is there a way to fix a small dent in the front bumper (ding)?(dunno) like do it your self? some asshole lady reverse right in to me while i was on a light. i didn't want to go thru insuar.b/c of my age n later increase pricing. (help) how do i pop the little ding out?

I'd warm it with a hair dryer and push from the rear. Do it soon, the thin plastic of the bumpers holds creases forever.

it happened 2 days ago... how am i going to get a hair driyer in the middle of the street? i live in an apartment. If i can get my hands on a blow torch from my friend do u think it would work?

Somewhere along the line you received bad advice. Your age and the fact that you were involved in a not at fault accident will not be used against you to increase your premium in the event that you file a claim. As long as your prior claims history is clear or acceptable, you will not have an issue. If this accident is part of a pattern or frequency for you, then you are right to be concerned.

Did you obtain the other drivers insurance information and drivers license. If so, you can file a claim with that company and avoid contacting yours all together.

i have her name, adress, and phone number. its not that big of a deal. she said she would pay for the damage. Im trying to do it myself. I just want to fiix it b/c it hurts to see the little dink. help me!!!

No torch, you want even subtle heat. The torch will probably mess the paint up as well. Extension cord?

It's easy to take the front bumper off. The hardest part is disconnecting the fog light wires. Then you can do it in a controlled environment like you kitchen with access to an outlet for the hair dryer.

never mind i cant get to it to push it out anyways. i'll just get touch up paint n buffer it out or something but that little dink is staying there.

screw that, if she is paying for it, go get a quote from a body shop. will take 1-2 days max to get your bumper back in perfect condition

The fact that you have filed a claim non the less DOES affect your premium depending on your history and how many claims have been filed.

Filing a claim for a covered peril will not have an impact on your premium. Claims are expected and contemplated in the rates. You just do not want to have frequency or severity issues. Either or both will earn you a surcharge or non-renewal. My point to the guy was not to worry about an increase in premium for filing a legitimate claim. Each state regulatory division has statutes in place to protect consumers from such things, unless they are warranted.

it shouldn't have anything to do with his insurance they shouldn't even know it happened it will go against her insurance if she wants to turn it in im sure she will just pay to fix it
if you claim it you will have to pay your dectuble all ya have to do is get an estimate and call her and see what she wants to do

the Diameter of the ding is .5" and .1" deep... is it realy worth all this trouble? im over it. Im getting my Mazdaspeed CAI yay!
