Ya I know its not out yet but if and when it does come out can it be used to tune other cars or can I just use it on my MS3?Im asking because my brother has a Mach1 and Im sure he would like it tuned if I had something to tune it with. Its a OBDII car.

only the ms3 and only your ms3. it gets married to 1 car when you initially use it.

No kidding!!So I cant even sell it when I get a new car or trade my car in someday. If its only for the MS3 thats fine but if its only for MY MS3 then that not right.

you can sell it, but you have to unmarry it to your ecu. basically when you get rid of it, your car will be back to the stock settings. (i.e. you can't flash stage 2, unmarry it, and then flash another car to stage 2)

that's how it works for the wrx access port, i don't see why it'd be different for the ms3/6

ya the device can be used and any supported vehicle but only one at a time. And ofcourse you have to have the correct tune in it...you cant just plug in and start tuning, cobb makes there tunes specifically for YOUR car so basically when you flash it to stage 2 or whatever it copys and stores your original tune so it can be put back at any time for you to go back to stock.

Oh ok..That sounds better. As long as I can sell it when I sell my MS3 in the future. It would be kinda nice if I could take it to a tuner shop and have them tweek the ecu using the AP.

Have your brother check out sctflash.com for his Mach 1 tuning solutions.
Their Xcal II allows datalogging with freeware off their website using your own laptop
