Starting problem..

i recently changed the battery and the terminals because they were bad, the car worked fine for about two weeks. went to get in the car yesterday, turned the key everything lights up and than when i got to start, starter clicks and all power goes off, after letting it sit it eventually comes back on. any help is greatly appreciated.

maybe alternator? if so, that kinda would suck changing it. hopefully not

^sounds like it , though... Put a meter on it and see if it is charging. If so - take the battery back & they will check it. Troubleshoot before spending money!!

Make sure the new cables are tight. They may have worked themselves loose since they're new. I've had this happen before. The cable will have a good enough connection for the light to turn on, but once the starter draws power the connection isn't good enough.

See if the alternator belt is loose mine was having the same problem it ended up being the belt.
