its cleaner than mine was the other day. I had a hose come loose and lie against my radiator then i guess over time it wore a little hole in it and hay presto, coolant leak and hot engine. Its clean now though but sill running on my shade tree mechanic skills until new hose comes..

In your second post the middle pic, you should take the same shot just step back more so we can get a better view with the side moldings off(dance)

I know, I need to get a better shot of the sides w/o side moldings. There's practically no room at the sides of my driveway and I didn't feel like trampling my neighbor's lawn at that time, though normally I don't care - he doesn't care either. OK, the rain stopped. I'll go get a shot of the sides right now. It's dark and thundering, but you can see it a bit better in these shots, sort of..

Yeah, mine's probably as dirty. I wipe off the painted areas/weather stripping, etc. when I wash the car, but have never actually cleaned an engine bay. Not sure what to cover, etc. Also, I thought some of those cleaners were caustic to the paint. Looks good though without the moldings, kind of Beamer like. I'd be afraid of some asshole immediately kicking their door into mine though!

I would be worried about door dings, but the only dings I ever got on my Protege 5 were on the fender, and that was from a shopping cart that rolled down a slight incline toward my car *just* as I sat down in the driver's seat with 2 cups of hot coffee - I saw it coming and knew there was nothing to be done.

Besides, when I'm parked anywhere public, I park way, way, way away from the other cars; I don't mind walking. Sometimes I'll park next to other cars that are obviously doted on.
