Interior pieces painted!! PICS!!!

If you didn't have the seat covers, then it would probably look like crap. But it looks pretty good actually. Nice job!

....Two reasons why I have the white rims. well actually maybe more than two. Number one, they are remnants of my first car. RIP 96 Dodge Neon....Ivan

Nice to see a fellow ex-Neon owner on the forums...funny, I too kept the wheels off my Neonfor a while until I found out they scraped the wheel well at every corner... here are some photos of my old ride and my P5.

Nice job, is this just for you or are you planning on entering some shows?

Yea I think I may be getting rid of the steering wheel cover but im still not sure. I kinda like it lol.

Umm as far as the center piece goes, you're right. I just taped off the fake cf part and painted it. Looks very smooth inbetween the colors. Just make sure that the tape is completely stuck on there so you dont have paint run under it.

OH AND ANYONE WITH AN AUTOMATIC THAT WANTS TO DO THE SAME....
unless you know how to take the top off the shifter, you will have to tape every little fu**ing part in the car just to paint that little part that has the P, R,1,2 and all that. Trust me.

I spent 15 hours because 4 of pieces had to be resanded and repainted. There's also the part where I taped off the entire interior of my car.

Oh and if anyone can tell me why my O/D button doesnt work now, I would appreciate it :)

I don't think I've seen white rims on any other P5's (correct me if im wrong).
Ivan

I think you were before me though :)

The interior looks nice, makes me think of doing it. Also, good job not painting the gauge surround. I think it would have been too much.

Great job. I really like the white-on-black theme you have going on.

Dupli-Color paint always does the job well!

ok I have to say those white stockies look amazing!! really they do.

i took off the steering wheel cover and man does it look better. Thanks to all who suggested it.

Ummm I actually have a set of replica DaveB rings coming (polished) from SLS and I cant wait!! I was going to ask though, should I paint those white as well and order another set just to have in case?

Thanks for the input guys. All this little relatively inexpensive stuff is really making the car come together. The rotors came in today and the HID kit is coming tomorrow. I'M SO EXCITED!! lol well rotor pic below.

Fish, are you planning on blacking out your headlights? cheap and easy mod, that would look great on a white p5..

you know what? I think I just might. I just found out that the rotors won't be going on until about 2 weeks from now since my uncle is gonna be on vacation so I think I might just do that Thursday. Now on to the How-To Section to see what mess I'm getting myself into :)

Ok, tomorrow I will be installing the HID kit.

By the time I start school on Sept. 19th, I want to have the following done.
- HID kit - DONE 8/15/07 THANK YOU APEXCONE and AMSgator
- rotors installed and calipers painted w/ new brake pads
- DaveB replicas installed - DONE 8/15/07 THANK YOU SLS
- Shaved side moldings
- Blacked out headlights - DONE 8/18/07 THANK YOU AMSgator
- New Pedals
- my 2 12" audiobahns installed

Any other suggestions, feel free to add. Also, should I buy eyelids and paint them to match? Thanks!! Pictures below of progress

I think the rings might look out of place. Everything in your car is either black or white, now you are adding a bit of silver. If you painted them white they would probably blend right in with the white face gauges.

Since the rings aren't brushed or polished you could try painting them to see what they would look like. If they don't look good just sand the paint off and they will have a nice brushed look. If you don't like that you can polish them.

The rings actually don't look out of place at all. I don't know why but they just look good so theyre just gonna chill there.

But as far as the seat covers, for anyone that is interested I got them off of ebay and they are 50 bucks shipped and come in other colors. They are made to fit the Pro and P5 and IMO they fit amazing. Just search for protege seat covers and they are 35 dollars buy it now with 15 bucks shipping.

oh wow. i was two steps away from getting my interior done when i decided not to. i might get the ebay ones just for fun. thanks (2thumbs)
