What have you done to your P5 today?

It may be the wheel bearing. Have you tried the wiggle test? Jack up that corner, place hands on top / bottom of wheel and push / pull to see if you get any play.

he just did the bearings! if you had been paying attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the call that the turbo didn't have a major oil leak (there was a small one but not enough to cause such oil consumption). I am really confused with all this. A compression test yielded 200 psi across all four cylinders, I have no oil blow by through my breather filter and there was no oil on any of the spark plugs. Is it possible one (or more) of my piston rings are bad even with all that?!

no screw...i added sealant though so i think i should be ok. how would i go about painting them? where to get the paint

You can either buy a can of VHT brand NiteShades paint...like 10-12 bucks, for enough to do the sides and tails (if you wanted). Or you can go to a hobby shop and buy some testor's "Smoke" paint. you'd have to shoot it through an airbrush though. Third option would be to have a body shop mix you up some tinting paint (basically thinned out black) I did a how-to on it last year...

2nd what Demoniam said....

Call a local tire shop in your area for the nite shades....cost me $10 and tax for my can. I have found it on ebay but after you pay for shipping it is close to $20.

Amsgator, When I start and stop.
AMaff, as Mark says, already done the bearings.
Josh, Yup that's what I'm thinking, but I would replace the halfshaft though, 65 bucks at Autozone.

So anyone ever change one? I can't be the 1st?

Anybody ever hear of soundcoat.com ? We had a bunch of their sound deading sheets at the jobsite I was just at. We were used it to deaden the sound on some sheetmetal chutes. I brought back a bunch of scrap pieces. I was thinking of using it in the P5. Works really well for the chute application we have. Seems like it would be OK in the car......

Visited the guy at the body shop and got a look at my car, and foudn out that the owner is hooking me up big time! He fixing the scuff marks in my rear bumper, and a few other dents for free!

I left her at home while I drove over 300 miles back to school. So sad just leaving her there but what could I do. She's dead in the water til I can figure out what's wrong...

Sounds like he's turning your car into a mule (the smuggling kind)
