I finally tried Meguiar's Plast X (clear plastic cleaner and polish) on my headlamps....didn't remove every single scratch..BUT...looks a helluva lot better than yesterday!

sorry...didn't take any pics, but mine were pretty clouded up after 4 years of highway grime and now they look much better. They SHOULD let alot more light shine thru hopefully.

another question though, i'm working on my car here and i'm trying to eliminate a squeak/creak in the back end that started when i had my eibach springs installed. it hasn't affected a lot it just seems like its getting louder now. any ideas?

^ take a ride in my car (if it was working) and enjoy the ground control noise. Then go back to your car and it will seem much quieter

Took mu lunch break and completely removed the roofrack mounts. only took about 45 minutes to remove everything and get stuff almost put back together.. As I was putting stuff back together, it started to rain. My Luck!!! So, I cleaned the tracks off and laid down a few strips of black vinyl tape. It just stopped raining and I checked the tape. it looks like it did the job. Now I just need the channel filler strips. car looks a little cleaner now.

tomorrow, I may try to wash/compound/wax her....if it's not 100 degrees again!

so do you have the strips?? i think they're very hard to come by??

I did the filler strips as one of the first things on my car. I recommend you keep the tape over the holes, no reason to remove them. I would actually weld the holes shut, but I wasn't a welder back when I did it. Tape is still sticking as far as I know, no leaks.

I'm waiting to hear back from a guy on whether or not he wants to trade his filler strips for my roof rack.

yeah...there are 8 holes in my roof...4 on each side. if your car did not come with racks, then you probably do not have the holes drilled there!
