I bought mine early this year, also off EBay. I paid them cheap. The seller asked if I wanted them Cadmium plated as well to help with rust. So I had that done for an extra $35 or $40. I think the original price for the rotors alone was around $90 USD. In retrospect, I should have purchased a slightly more expensive (and hopefully better quality) set. When I had them installed, I would turn my wheels while the car was on a lift and I could hear spots where my brakes rubbed the rotors. This only occurred on the rear rotors. I don't know if the Cadmium plating had a warping effect on them. I should've got the Brembo's instead. Hope this helps!

the first pic is the look im going for, i bought the black ones and im painted my calipers red, should really stand out on my car. bad thing is i was new brakde pads, but i dont have the cash for them after buying new stock upper and lower grills and the rotors.!!

well i took a chance with my ebay ones.. and so far so good... they have not craked, warped, worn, no hot spots-glazing.. theve been great..much better than i thought.. so iv got two trips to deals gap, about 15-20 auto-x's, and about 30k on them with hawk hp plus pads..they look great and still work well.. i thought they where going to have to be replaced in a year or so, but looks like ther doing just fine...heres some pics from a meet from a few weeks ago..

haha, im excited to get them now, i hate the stock rusty ones right now sitting behind my nice new wheels, these should help the looks of my car big time, and hopefully some good braking action!!!

for the record

Sounds like you made your decision. However, just for the record, I would like to disagree with some of the comments made about cross drilled rotors. I ran xdrilled on my integra, 944s2, and now my p5. I have noticed a difference on all three cars. Never have any of the rotors (brembro, zimmerman, corksport) cracked, and that includes driving on the race track!

they got shipped out today!!! i cant wait to get them

i ordered the ones painted black in a xdrilled & slotted

i have a friend that works at an aftermarket company, and i asked him about these discs and he said that they should be good quality. I also contacted DRT and asked if they had a warranty against cracks (just incase), and he said they dont crack but they are covered for 30 days.

I'm gonna get a set. Its seems like a really good price.

Just a question, what kind of pads would you guys use with these?

You'll get plenty of different answers on that one but IMO you can't go wrong with Hawk HPS pads.

im not upgrading pads right way due to cash flow, but im going to go with th ebc greenstuff pads!!

Hey guys, just browsing some forums and came across this thread. Seems like some is interested to find out about drilled and slotted rotors. Any questions you have, feel free to ask me.

Well bigger names mean higher profit margin. I know this because i do alot of their machining here. As for us, profit margin is alot smaller due to more quantity being sold. Hopes this make sense.

r1, have you ever heard or seen drilled discs crack? if so, is there a way to keep them from cracking?

I also order PBR Metal Master front and back from them for $75. So I got the xdrilled/slotted rotors in silver and brakes front and back for $210 shipped.

i think most people will go with Hawks. I went with
PBR Metal Masters. $75 for front and back. I used them on some of my rx7s I had and I liked them. Lets see how well they work on my MP5. Ill take some pics of the rotors when I get them.
