How long did your stock break pads last?

changed mine out at 45k and they had a bit of pad left.
I drive my car pretty hard so I was impressed. Great part is the car is so slow, you really dont have to use the brakes that often?

If you drive like a old lady.. and are not hard on your breaks.. just go to Midus or any brake shop and get them resurfaced and new pads.. or all new OEM parts.. its not worth the cash if you don't drive it hard

65k and going strong. (1/2+)

I got the car at 59k and I'm guessing the previous owner drove like a grandma (original owner).

With my driving habits, they should be gone by 70k.

Rear lasted 45k miles.
front ones still got plenty of meat.

dont understand why rears wear faster than fronts.
not like i drive around with me ebrake on.

changed them when they were over 60k but my front ones had quite a bit left on them. My rear ones were shot from to much ebrake drifting. lol

Mine went at least 140,000 with the rears going before the fronts..

Lots of highway driving helped them make it that far.

I got new pads at about 40k or so, which was about 10k after I needed new tires. Also got new spark plugs and wires at 50k. Does the raidiator really need flushed at about 60? Ive had some problems with leaking fluid into the motor after it sitting for a while but I dont think thats gonna that, I think my head gasket is going out.

'Way different car, but...

I got my '97 Miata with six miles on the odo. I drove it daily, and made a least two trips a year to Deal's Gap. I flogged it every chance I got. At 80k miles, I changed the pads, because I thought it was time. Fronts were almost gone... 10k left, at most. Rears could have gone another 40k.

Factory pads. Driven like I stole it.

I still have the Miata, and just bought a CX-7.

Zoom-zoom, indeed.

Made no sense to me either. Only thing I could surmise was a dragging parking brake.

I don't know what you guys are talkin about. Well, I do but am not experiencing it. My 50k set of rotors/pads are all evenly worn & if anything, the rears have slightly more pad left than the fronts. Brembo/Hawks FTW!

I got 140 000km on my stock pads and rotors but at 100 000 my rear calipers were sticking so I pulled the slider and resurfaced and lubed it. put brembo blanks and hawk pads on and noticed a big difference.

Just got back from having a 60k service(NOT at the stealership) so I know how long mine have lasted...Rears were down to 10%, fronts still have 50%....For some reason I have always gone thru rear pads before the fronts..tha last 3 cars(scratch)

I believe it's because the rears actually grab first.

Well, I finally got some wicked sketching on the rear rotors and the front right started chirping pretty loud at 70k. Doing a full brake job this weekend. I figure 70k on the stockers is pretty good.
