Colors are for nail polish, not cars. :D

LOL, I had a girl tell me that once when she saw my car :p

Ah well, like many on here have said, the spicy orange is THE color --- greatest color ever put on a vehicle aside from the "Orange Chrome" that Lotus had at one time. No words do it justice.

spicey had a picture of the dent in her front fender....anyways, the sunlight hitting it was cool. You could see the pearl quite nicely

hmmm, 77% of the people that voted for orange owned it

43% for titanium, 92% for black

SEe why I asked for who owned what?

Poll is only young yet. Not that it means anything really. Most people here are Mazda nuts. Hardly accounts for the opinion if the general public.

Here's why I feel Orange is the best color...

4 months ago I was looking for a car. After test driving everything from the RSX to the Element, I was more confused than ever. Seriously, I must've test drove over a dozen cars and could easily make a library out of all the sales lit I received. One day me and my wife are driving down the road enroute to the Subaru dealer. I had made up my mind. Even though it was a bit more, I decided to go with the blue WRX. If I had more time, I might have waited a little longer till I found a car in my price range I ABSOLUTELY had to have... but I simply couldn't find a thing! To top it off, the clock was ticking. I had to give back my company car in a few days and simply NEEDED a car. Anyway... while driving down the street we pass a Mazda dealership...

As if a ray of sunlight from God himself was shining down on an Orange Speed, I quickly slammed on the brakes and pulled into the dealership. After my wife peeled her face from the dash, she noticed the look of amazement I had on my face. It was a familar look to her. It's the same facial expression I had on my face when I met her. I WAS IN LOVE!! The color spoke to me! Most colors do but THIS color told me things I wanted to hear! "DRIVE ME!! I'M FAST!!! PEOPLE LOOK AT ME THE SAME WAY YOU'RE LOOKING AT ME!! I'M SO MUCH COOLER THAN EVERY OTHER CAR ON THE ROAD!!" hahaha Anyway... I NEVER thought in a MILLION years I'd get a Mazda. Not that they're bad cars... I just didn't know that much about them. I've owned Nissan's and Honda's in my day and figured I'd go with one of those.

I'm generally not an impulsive person but... I bought the car THAT day!! I know I know!! A color isn't a reason to buy a car!! In this case, in a way, it was.

Let's just say... it had me at Hello!!

After hearing the sales guy go on and on... and on about all the features it has and how "high performance" it was, I figured it was out of my price range. When I realized it was about 5-6 grand less than the WRX (a car I was willing to buy that day) my mind was made up!

When I got home, naturally I read up on this car as much as possible. I was expecting to come across a lot of good stuff... but NEVER expected the level of praise and accolades this car has received from the counltess publications out there. As if my smile couldn't get any bigger... it did!!

So I ask you? Did I buy this car because I was a loyal Mazda owner? No

Did I buy this car because I read about it in Motor Trend and loved everything about it? No (I bet even the people who SUBSCRIBE to Motor Trend dont' know that much about this car!)

Did I buy this car because Mazda's been flooding the airways with advertisments?? ZOOM ZOOM!!! HELL NO!!

I bought it because the color absolutely KICKS ASS!! The fact that it's just as cool on the inside as it is on the outside makes it that much sweeter. I live in a fairly large city but do A LOT of traveling. So far I've seen one car that had a color similar to mine... He was in a Honda (Rice-a-roni) Civic complete with a Star Wars wing and coffee can exhaust. Do I mind??? No way!! Every time I see him the expression on his face says it all... JEALOUSY!!! While I have the somewhat subdued "Euro" look of the body combined with the big-ballz, middle finger to the world look of the Orange.. all stock!! He's just got a hunk of s*** that would look even worse parked next to mine. The point is! I see soooo many Blue and Silver and Yellow and yes, even GREY "Titanium" cars on the road... I know I know!! Titanium's got a nice metalic finish to it that *sparkles* in the light. Well... HELLO??? So does the Orange!!

If I had a nickle for every compliment I got on my car I'd be rich enough to afford many other so-called "superior" cars!

But I wouldn't buy them!

...unless they came in "Spicy Orange"!!! So there's my .03

Definitely yellow...the color actually keeps the drivers from pulling in front of you, because it looks like your going fast.

I've actually noticed this effect in the Orange too --- really the insurance should be lower on the orange and yellow because they're SAFER -- it seems that the higher visibility helps others "see" your car and not pull out in front of you.

Hah!!! No doubt. I feel ya on that one!

ha, yeah RIGHT, less people pull in front of you, HA! you know how many times ive been cutoff...DAMN! closest id say was on RT22 when a green Millenia nearly took my right front fender off...whew, damn NJ drivers...

Ha ha! Yeah, must just be the difference in drivers between here and New Jersey. (dunno) dunno, all I know is that more drivers seem to wait for me now -- maybe it's just to let me go by so they can get a closer look at the car since nobody around here ever sees them.
