YOUR fav lightweight 17's?

OZ Superleggera.
If you look hard you can probably find some for $350 each...i did a quick search and the best i came up with was $265.
You can usually buy lightly used sets with tires for around $1K

Rota makes some nice, light, cheap wheels too. Those three don't go together very often, but Rota pulls it off nicely. I loved my Sub Zeros.

Rishie can get great deals on pretty much any wheel that'll fit the Protege(or any Mazda;)).

cept you gotta bore ut the centers a bit to fit over your hubs, then the center caps wont fit which=teh ugly :(

Good point about the center-bore.(friday)

I bought my Subs through AutoRnD (Rishie). They bored them out before I bought them and managed to do it so the caps still fit fine. I admit that they felt a little loose on the wheel, but I never lost one.

...yet another pic. :D...

Simple fix for this problem would to not overbore the entire centerbore.Just do the back side to a preset depth. Then the cap should fit with no problems on the outside. You would have changed nothing on the outside.
Make sense?
Matt

Since nobody will buy my subzeros i'm having that done tommorow. As soon as Rishie gets back to me with the depth i'll be taking them to the machine shop.

You dont need Rishie to do this...You can do it yourself. You just need to measure the depth of the hub and make it ever so silghtly deeper.Any competent machine shop should be able to take care of this for you.
Matt

I just wanted the measurement from Rishie. I have a very competent machine shop to do anything I need. The problem is i'm in one place and my car is at my parents sitting on jack stands. So I just need the correct measurement from him. Since he sold me the wheels I hope he'll tell me how much deeper they need to be bored.

What I can think of at off-hand...
Team Dynamics ProRace 1
Kosei K1-TS
5Zigen FN01R-C
Rays GramLights 5 or 7 spoke, cast version

I believe his s/n is SPD33.
