Your 5: How long do you think you will keep/last?

I sold my wife's 2008 this morning.
Although not bad for a cheap car, it has not met her (and mine) expectations.
Recurring suspension problems,
Power steering failure,
Stupid rear suspension design that eats tire at an unbelieving rate.
Uncomfortable front seats,
So-so power with so-so mpg
And worst of all: Unbearable wind noise combined with road/tire noise.
Life's too short to endure driving that type of a car.
I'll take delivery of a white 2010 Mercedes B200 Turbo next Tuesday.
More expensive than a 5, but so much more of a car.

my kids are 10, 7 and 18months, so far so good. I'd like to think I could keep it until my oldest gets a permit (so he isn't driving a new car!). but it's our one car; I carpool, but since we use it for everything, the wear rate might be accelerated. we've had it since november '09 and mileage is just under 10K (it would have been less, but we did a 3K+ road trip right after we got it).
